2. Initial Placement
- Place the dehumidifier upright on a firm, level surface.
- Allow at least 8 inches (20 cm) of space on all sides of the unit for proper air circulation. Do not place it against walls or furniture that could obstruct airflow.
- If the unit was not stored or transported in an upright position, allow it to stand upright for a minimum of 24 hours before plugging it in. This allows the refrigerant to settle.

- Living Mode: Standard operation for general living spaces, balancing dehumidification and comfort.
- Basement Mode: Optimized for higher humidity levels typically found in basements, providing more aggressive moisture removal.

Drainage Options
The dehumidifier offers three methods for water removal:
- Manual Draining (Water Tank):
- When the 1.14-gallon water tank is full, the unit will automatically stop operating and an indicator light will illuminate.
- Carefully pull out the water tank from the front of the unit.
- Empty the collected water into a sink or drain.
- Reinsert the empty water tank firmly into the unit until it clicks into place. The unit will resume operation.
- Continuous Draining (Included Drain Hose):
- Locate the drain hose connection port on the back of the unit.
- Attach the included 3.3 ft drain hose to this port, ensuring a secure connection.
- Route the other end of the hose to a suitable drain (e.g., floor drain, large sink) ensuring it is sloped downwards for gravity drainage.
- The unit will continuously drain water, eliminating the need to manually empty the tank.
- Continuous Draining (Garden Hose - Not Included):
- For longer drainage distances, a standard garden hose (not included) can be connected to the drain port.
- Ensure the garden hose is securely attached and routed to a drain with a continuous downward slope.

- Clean the air filter.
- Wrap the power cord neatly.
- Store the dehumidifier in an upright position in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
