2. What's in the Box
Upon unpacking, verify that all components listed below are present:
- 1/24 SCX24 Base Camp 4x4 Rock Crawler Brushed RTR - White
- (1) Spektrum SLT2 2.4GHz Transmitter
- (1) Spektrum 10A Brushed ESC / SLT Receiver Combo

3. Setup
3.1 Charging the Battery
- Connect the included Spektrum 350mAh LiPo battery to the USB charger.
- Plug the USB charger into a compatible USB power source (e.g., computer, USB wall adapter).
- The charger's LED indicator will show the charging status. Refer to the charger's specific instructions for LED indications.
- Once fully charged, disconnect the battery from the charger.
3.2 Installing the Battery
- Carefully remove the body clips or unlatch the body of the rock crawler to access the chassis.
- Locate the battery tray on the chassis.
- Place the charged LiPo battery into the battery tray.
- Secure the battery using the provided strap or retainer.
- Connect the battery to the ESC/Receiver combo. Ensure correct polarity.
- Reattach the body of the rock crawler.
3.3 Transmitter Preparation

- Install 4 AA batteries (not included) into the Spektrum SLT2 2.4GHz Transmitter.
- Ensure the transmitter is powered off before proceeding.
4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Powering On
- Turn on the transmitter first.
- Then, turn on the rock crawler by pressing the power button on the ESC/Receiver.
- Wait for the system to bind (LEDs will indicate successful binding).
4.2 Basic Controls
- Steering Wheel: Turn left or right to control the direction of the front wheels.
- Throttle Trigger: Pull to move forward, push to brake/reverse.
- Trim Dials: Adjust steering and throttle trim for straight tracking and neutral throttle.

4.3 Driving Tips
- Start slowly to get accustomed to the controls.
- Practice steering and throttle control in open areas before attempting challenging terrain.
- The 4x4 system and high-grip tires are designed for rock crawling and uneven surfaces.
5. Maintenance
5.1 General Cleaning
- After each use, clean dirt and debris from the chassis, suspension, and drivetrain using a soft brush or compressed air.
- Avoid using water directly on electronic components.
5.2 Inspection
- Regularly check for loose screws, damaged parts, or worn tires.
- Inspect the motor and servo for any signs of wear or damage.

5.3 Battery Care
- Always store LiPo batteries in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and heat.
- Do not overcharge or over-discharge the battery.
- If the battery shows signs of swelling or damage, discontinue use immediately and dispose of it properly.
6. Troubleshooting
- Vehicle not responding: Ensure both the transmitter and vehicle are powered on and the battery is charged. Re-bind the transmitter and receiver if necessary.
- Poor performance: Check for debris in the drivetrain, ensure all wheels spin freely, and verify battery charge.
- Steering issues: Adjust the steering trim on the transmitter. Inspect the servo and steering linkages for damage.
