2. Important Safety Instructions

5. Setup

5.1 Charging the Battery

Before first use, fully charge the electric knife. The unit is powered by a 7.4V rechargeable Li-ion battery.

  1. Ensure the knife is turned off and the safety lock is engaged.
  2. Connect the USB Type-C end of the supplied charging cable to the charging port on the knife unit.
  3. Connect the USB Type-A end of the cable to a compatible USB power adapter (not supplied) or a USB port on a computer.
  4. The LED indicators will illuminate to show charging progress. A full charge is indicated when all three LEDs are solid.
  5. Charging time may vary. Disconnect the charger once fully charged.

5.2 Attaching the Blades

Always handle blades with extreme care. Ensure the unit is off and unplugged if charging.

  1. Hold the two blade sections together, aligning the rivets and slots so they interlock.
  2. With the blades interlocked, carefully insert the blade shaft into the blade opening on the front of the motor unit.
  3. Push firmly until you hear a click, indicating the blades are securely locked into place. Do not force.
  4. Gently pull on the blades to ensure they are properly seated and will not come loose during operation.

5.3 Detaching the Blades

To remove the blades for cleaning or storage:

  1. Ensure the knife is off and the safety lock is engaged.
  2. Locate the blade release button on the top of the unit.
  3. Press and hold the blade release button firmly.
  4. While holding the button, carefully pull the blades straight out from the motor unit.
  5. Separate the two blade sections for individual cleaning.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1 General Operation

  1. Ensure the blades are securely attached and the battery is sufficiently charged.
  2. Hold the knife firmly with one hand.
  3. With your thumb, press the safety lock button. The safety lock LED indicator will illuminate.
  4. While holding the safety lock button, press the trigger switch with your index finger to activate the blades. The blades will begin to reciprocate.
  5. Guide the knife through the food using a sawing motion, allowing the blades to do the work. Do not apply excessive pressure.
  6. Release the trigger switch to stop the blades. The safety lock will automatically re-engage when the trigger is released.

6.2 Tips for Best Results

  • For carving roasts or poultry, use a carving fork to steady the food.
  • Allow the knife to cool down if used continuously for extended periods.
  • Always cut on a stable, flat surface, preferably a cutting board.
  • Avoid cutting through bones or frozen foods, as this can damage the blades or motor.

7. Maintenance and Cleaning

Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and performance of your electric knife.

7.1 Cleaning the Blades

  1. Always detach the blades from the motor unit before cleaning.
  2. Wash the blades in warm, soapy water. Use a brush to remove any food particles from the serrations.
  3. Rinse thoroughly under running water.
  4. Dry the blades immediately and completely to prevent rust. Store them safely.

7.2 Cleaning the Motor Unit

  1. Ensure the unit is off and unplugged from the charging cable.
  2. Wipe the exterior of the motor unit with a damp cloth. Do not immerse in water or spray with liquids.
  3. For stubborn stains, use a mild detergent on the cloth, then wipe with a clean, damp cloth.
  4. Dry thoroughly before storing or recharging.

7.3 Storage

Store the electric knife and its components in a dry, safe place, out of reach of children. It is recommended to store the blades separately or in a blade guard to prevent accidental injury.
