Maintenance and Cleaning
Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance and extends the lifespan of your coffee machine. Always unplug the machine before cleaning.
Daily Cleaning
- Drip Tray: Empty and rinse the drip tray and grid daily. Wash with warm, soapy water and dry thoroughly.
- Water Tank: Empty any remaining water from the tank daily. Rinse it with fresh water. For thorough cleaning, wash with warm, soapy water weekly and rinse well.
- Used Capsule Bin: If your adapter type uses an internal bin for used capsules, empty and clean it regularly.
- Exterior: Wipe the exterior of the machine with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
Descaling
Over time, mineral deposits (limescale) can build up in the machine, affecting performance and coffee taste. The CAMRY CR 4414 features automatic descaling cycles. Refer to the machine's indicator lights or manufacturer's guidelines for when descaling is needed (typically every 3-6 months depending on water hardness and usage).
Descaling Process (General Steps - refer to specific instructions if provided by manufacturer):
- Empty the water tank and drip tray.
- Fill the water tank with a descaling solution suitable for coffee machines (follow the descaling solution manufacturer's instructions for dilution).
- Place a large container under the coffee spout.
- Initiate the descaling cycle (this usually involves a specific button combination or holding a button for a few seconds). The machine will run the solution through in intervals.
- Once the descaling cycle is complete, rinse the water tank thoroughly and fill it with fresh water.
- Run 2-3 full cycles of fresh water through the machine to rinse out any remaining descaling solution.
