Operating Instructions

1. Filling the Cooker

Add ingredients and liquid to the pot. Do not exceed the maximum fill line (2/3 full) indicated inside the pot. For foods that expand, do not fill more than 1/2 full.

2. Closing the Lid

Place the lid on the pot, ensuring it is correctly aligned. Press the handle down until you hear a click, indicating the lid is securely locked. The one-hand system makes this process straightforward.

3. Setting Cooking Programs and Timer

Place the pressure cooker on a heat source. The Clipso+ Chef features 4 cooking programs. Select the appropriate program using the control buttons on the lid. The integrated timer will help you monitor cooking time. Once pressure is reached, the timer will start counting down.

5. Opening the Cooker

After all pressure has been released, unlock the lid using the one-hand mechanism and carefully lift it. Always open the lid away from your face to avoid residual steam.

Maintenance and Cleaning

1. Cleaning the Pot and Lid

After each use, wash the pot and lid with warm soapy water. For stubborn food residues, soak the pot before cleaning. The stainless steel pot is dishwasher safe. The lid, including the gasket and valves, should be hand-washed.

2. Gasket and Valves

Regularly inspect the gasket for any signs of wear or damage. Replace it if necessary. Ensure the pressure release valve and safety valve are clean and free from food particles. Refer to the detailed diagrams in the full user manual for disassembly and reassembly of these components for cleaning.

3. Timer Care

The timer unit should be wiped clean with a damp cloth. Do not immerse it in water or place it in a dishwasher.

Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your pressure cooker, refer to the following common problems and solutions:

  • Pressure not building: Check if the lid is properly closed and locked. Ensure the gasket is correctly seated and not damaged. Verify that the pressure release valve is not open or blocked.
  • Steam leaking from the lid: This often indicates an improperly seated or worn gasket. Re-seat the gasket or replace it if necessary. Ensure the lid is closed correctly.
  • Lid stuck after cooking: Do not force the lid. Ensure all internal pressure has been released. If necessary, run cold water over the lid (avoiding the valve area) to help cool and release pressure.
  • Food not cooking properly: Verify that the correct amount of liquid was used and that the cooking time and program were set appropriately for the ingredients.
