1. Power Button: Used to power on/off the device and initiate measurements.
2. Modes & Units Switch Button: Used to cycle through measurement modes and switch between yards (Y) and meters (M).
3. Laser Transmitting Objective Lens: Emits the laser beam for distance measurement.
4. Laser Receiving Objective Lens: Receives the reflected laser beam to calculate distance.
5. Diopter Adjustment: Rotatable eyepiece to adjust focus for individual vision.
6. Battery Cap: Cover for the battery compartment.

Setup

1. Battery Installation

The AOFAR HX-1100V Rangefinder uses one CR2 battery. Follow these steps to install the battery:

1. Locate the battery cap (06 in Figure 2) on the side or bottom of the rangefinder.
2. Rotate the battery cap counter-clockwise to open the compartment.
3. Insert the CR2 battery, ensuring the positive (+) and negative (-) terminals align with the indicators inside the compartment.
4. Replace the battery cap and rotate it clockwise until it is securely closed.

2. Diopter Adjustment

Adjust the diopter to ensure a clear view through the eyepiece:

1. Look through the eyepiece (Diopter Adjustment, 05 in Figure 2).
2. Rotate the diopter adjustment ring until the internal display and target appear sharp and clear.

Operating Instructions

Power On/Off

• To power on: Press the Power Button (01 in Figure 2) once. The display will activate.
• To power off: The device will automatically power off after a period of inactivity to conserve battery.

Changing Measurement Units (Yards/Meters)

To switch between yards (Y) and meters (M):

• With the device powered on, press and hold the "MODE" button (02 in Figure 2) for 3 seconds. The unit displayed will change.

Selecting Measurement Modes

The HX-1100V features three primary measurement modes: Range, Speed, and Continuous Scan. To switch between modes:

• With the device powered on, single-press the "MODE" button (02 in Figure 2) to cycle through the available modes.

1. Range Mode (Hunting Mode)

This mode provides accurate straight-line distance, angle, and horizontal distance to the target. It is ideal for bow hunting where angle compensation is crucial.

• Select Range Mode using the "MODE" button.
• Aim the crosshairs at your target.
• Press the Power Button (01 in Figure 2) once. The display will show the straight-line distance, angle, and compensated horizontal distance.

2. Speed Mode

This mode measures the speed of a moving target.

• Select Speed Mode using the "MODE" button.
• Aim at the moving target.
• Press and hold the Power Button (01 in Figure 2) while tracking the target. The speed will be displayed.

3. Continuous Scan Mode

This mode allows for continuous measurement as you pan across multiple targets or track a moving target, providing real-time distance updates.

• Select Scan Mode using the "MODE" button.
• Press and hold the Power Button (01 in Figure 2) and slowly pan the rangefinder across the desired area or target. The distance will continuously update on the display.

Maintenance

Cleaning

• Lenses: Gently wipe the lenses with the provided cleaning cloth or a soft, lint-free cloth. For stubborn smudges, a small amount of lens cleaning solution designed for optics can be used. Avoid touching the lenses with fingers.
• Body: Wipe the body of the rangefinder with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use harsh detergents or solvents.

Storage

• When not in use for extended periods, remove the battery to prevent leakage and damage to the device.
• Store the rangefinder in its carrying pouch in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
