4. Setup & Installation

Follow these steps for proper installation of your AIO CPU cooler. Refer to the official ARCTIC installation videos for visual guidance if needed.

4.1 Case Compatibility Check

Before installation, ensure your PC case has adequate space for the 360mm radiator and fans. The radiator has a thickness of 38mm.

4.2 CPU Socket Preparation

The Liquid Freezer III Pro 360 A-RGB supports Intel LGA1851/LGA1700 and AMD AM5/AM4 sockets.

4.2.1 Intel LGA1851 / LGA1700 Contact Frame Installation

For Intel LGA1851 and LGA1700 sockets, the included contact frame is recommended to optimize contact pressure distribution, which can improve thermal performance and CPU longevity. Carefully remove the motherboard's stock Independent Loading Mechanism (ILM) backplate and install the ARCTIC contact frame according to the provided instructions.

4.2.2 Native Offset Mounting for Intel and AMD

The cooler features native offset mounting, which shifts the cold plate center towards the CPU hotspot. This design ensures more efficient heat transfer from the CPU to the cooler.

4.3 Radiator and Pump Installation

  1. Mount the radiator to an available fan mounting location in your case (e.g., top, front).
  2. Apply the included ARCTIC MX-6 thermal paste to the center of your CPU's Integrated Heat Spreader (IHS).
  3. Secure the pump/cold plate assembly onto the CPU using the appropriate mounting hardware for your socket type. Ensure even pressure.

4.4 Cable Management

The PWM cables of the radiator fans are integrated into the sleeving of the hoses, simplifying cable management and reducing clutter. Only a single visible cable connects to the motherboard for fan and pump control.

5.1 Fan and Pump Control

5.2 Integrated VRM Fan
