1. Introduction

Welcome to the Roxel Amber All-in-One Compact Retro Hi-Fi System. This unit combines vintage aesthetics with advanced audio functionalities, offering a timeless appeal and powerful modern listening experience. It features a tray-type CD player, DAB/DAB+ digital radio, FM radio with RDS, Bluetooth audio streaming, USB playback and charging, and an AUX input. The 2.4-inch color TFT display enhances usability, while integrated clock, alarm, and sleep timer functions make it a versatile choice for any room.

Please read this manual carefully before operating the unit and retain it for future reference.

2. Safety Information

• Power Source: Ensure the power supply voltage matches the rating label on the unit.
• Ventilation: Do not block any ventilation openings. Maintain adequate space around the unit for proper airflow.
• Water and Moisture: Do not expose the unit to rain, moisture, dripping, or splashing. Do not place objects filled with liquids, such as vases, on the unit.
• Heat: Do not place the unit near heat sources such as radiators, heat registers, stoves, or other apparatus (including amplifiers) that produce heat.
• Cleaning: Unplug the unit from the wall outlet before cleaning. Use a dry cloth for cleaning.
• Servicing: Do not attempt to service this product yourself. Refer all servicing to qualified service personnel.
• Placement: Place the unit on a stable, flat surface. Avoid direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.

4. Product Overview

Front Panel Controls:

• Volume Knob: Adjusts the master volume. Press to power on/off.
• Display: 2.4-inch color TFT display for menus, track information, and radio details.
• CD Tray: Tray-type CD player.
• MENU Button: Accesses the main menu.
• BACK Button: Returns to the previous menu or screen.
• PAIR Button: Initiates Bluetooth pairing.
• Skip/Fast Forward/Rewind Buttons: For track navigation or tuning.
• Play/Pause Button: Controls playback for CD/USB/Bluetooth.
• Stop Button: Stops CD/USB playback.
• Eject Button: Opens/closes the CD tray.
• Tune/Navigate Knob: Rotates to navigate menus or tune radio stations. Press to confirm selection (OK).

Rear Panel Connections:

• Power Input: For connecting the power cable.

5. Setup

5.1 Unpacking

Carefully remove the Roxel Amber system and all accessories from the packaging. Retain the packaging for future transport or storage.

5.2 Power Connection

1. Ensure the unit is placed on a stable, flat surface.
2. Connect the power cable to the power input on the rear of the unit.
3. Plug the other end of the power cable into a suitable wall outlet.

5.3 Antenna Connection

For optimal DAB/DAB+ and FM radio reception, connect the supplied antenna stick to the antenna input on the rear of the unit. Extend the antenna fully and adjust its position for the best signal.

5.4 Initial Setup / First Use

1. Press the Volume knob or the Power button on the remote control to turn on the unit.
2. The display will light up. On first use, the system may prompt you to perform an automatic scan for DAB/DAB+ stations. Follow the on-screen instructions.
3. Set the time and date if prompted, or access these settings via the menu.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1 General Controls

• Power On/Off: Press the Volume knob or the Power button on the remote.
• Volume Adjustment: Rotate the Volume knob or use the Volume +/- buttons on the remote.
• Mode Selection: Press the MENU button and navigate to select desired mode (DAB, FM, CD, Bluetooth, USB, AUX).
• Menu Navigation: Use the Tune/Navigate knob or arrow buttons on the remote to scroll through options. Press the knob (OK) or the OK button on the remote to confirm.

6.2 CD Playback

1. Press the Eject button to open the CD tray.
2. Place a CD (CD/MP3/CD-R/CD-RW) gently into the tray with the label side facing up.
3. Press the Eject button again to close the tray.
4. The unit will automatically switch to CD mode and begin playback. If not, select CD mode from the menu.
5. Use the Play/Pause, Stop, and Skip buttons for control.

6.3 DAB/DAB+ Radio

1. Select DAB mode from the menu.
2. The system will perform a scan for available DAB/DAB+ stations.
3. Use the Tune/Navigate knob or Skip buttons to browse through the station list. Press OK to select a station.
4. Preset Stations: To save a station, press and hold the Preset button (if available on remote) or navigate through the menu to "Preset Store". To recall a preset, briefly press the Preset button or navigate to "Preset Recall". The unit supports 40 DAB presets.

6.4 FM Radio

1. Select FM mode from the menu.
2. To auto-scan for stations, press and hold the Tune/Navigate knob or the Play/Pause button. The radio will scan and stop at the next strong station.
3. To manually tune, rotate the Tune/Navigate knob.
4. Preset Stations: Similar to DAB, save and recall FM stations using the preset functions. The unit supports 40 FM presets.

6.5 Bluetooth Streaming

1. Select Bluetooth mode from the menu. The display will show "Bluetooth Pairing" or similar.
2. On your Bluetooth-enabled device (smartphone, tablet, etc.), enable Bluetooth and search for available devices.
3. Select "Roxel Amber" from the list of devices.
4. Once paired, you can stream audio from your device to the Roxel Amber system.
5. Use the Play/Pause and Skip buttons on the unit or remote to control playback.

6.6 USB Playback and Charging

1. Insert a USB flash drive containing MP3 files into the USB port on the rear of the unit.
2. Select USB mode from the menu.
3. The unit will read the files and begin playback.
4. Use the Play/Pause, Stop, and Skip buttons for control.
5. The USB port also provides charging for compatible devices.

6.7 AUX Input

1. Connect an external audio device (e.g., MP3 player, smartphone) to the 3.5mm AUX input jack on the rear of the unit using a 3.5mm audio cable (not supplied).
2. Select AUX mode from the menu.
3. Audio from the connected device will now play through the Roxel Amber system. Control playback from your external device.

6.8 Clock and Alarm Functions

• Setting the Clock: Access the "System Settings" or "Clock" menu to manually set the time and date. The clock can also be synchronized automatically via DAB or FM RDS signals.
• Setting Alarms: Navigate to the "Alarm" menu. You can set multiple alarms, choose the alarm source (Buzzer, DAB, FM, CD), and set the alarm volume.

6.9 Sleep Timer

The sleep timer allows the unit to automatically turn off after a set period. Access the "Sleep Timer" option in the menu and select the desired duration (e.g., 15, 30, 60, 90, 120 minutes).

6.10 Remote Control Usage

The supplied remote control provides full functionality for operating the Roxel Amber system from a distance. Ensure batteries are inserted correctly (not supplied). Point the remote control directly at the unit's front panel.

7. Maintenance

• Cleaning: Disconnect the power before cleaning. Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the exterior of the unit. Do not use abrasive cleaners, waxes, or solvents.
• CD Player Care: Handle CDs by their edges. Keep the CD tray clean and free of dust.
• Storage: If storing the unit for an extended period, unplug it from the power outlet and store it in a cool, dry place.
