3. Setup

3.1 Charging the Device

The Bestsee Golf Rangefinder comes with a built-in 800mAh rechargeable lithium battery. Before first use, or when the battery indicator shows low power, fully charge the device.

• Locate the USB-C charging port on the side of the rangefinder, protected by a waterproof cover.
• Connect the provided USB-C charging cable to the port and the other end to a 5V/2A USB power adapter (not included, typically found with smartphones).

3.2 Adjusting Eyepiece Focus

To ensure a clear view through the eyepiece, adjust the focus ring until the display and target appear sharp.

• Look through the eyepiece.
• Rotate the eyepiece knob (located near the eyepiece) clockwise or counter-clockwise until the view is clear and sharp.

3.3 Setting Units (Yards/Meters)

You can switch between yards (Yd) and meters (M) as your preferred unit of measurement.

• With the device powered on, press and hold the "M" (Mode) button for more than 2 seconds.
• The unit will switch between Yards and Meters on the LCD display.

4. Operating

4.1 Power On/Off

• To power on: Short press the power button (located on top of the device). The LCD display will activate.
• To power off: The device will automatically shut down after 8 seconds of inactivity to conserve battery.

4.2 Measurement Modes

The rangefinder offers three distinct measurement modes. Briefly press the "M" button to cycle through them:

• M1 (Flag Pole Lock + Slope Correction Mode): Ideal for golf, this mode measures distance to the flag and adjusts for elevation changes.
• M2 (Ranging + Angle Mode): Measures the direct distance and the angle to the target. Continuous measurement is possible by holding down the power button.
• M3 (Ranging + Horizontal Distance Mode): Measures the direct distance and calculates the horizontal distance to the target. Continuous measurement is possible by holding down the power button.

4.3 Flagpole Lock with Vibration

• In M1 mode, aim at the flag.
• Short press the power button. When the laser locks onto the flag, the rangefinder will vibrate briefly to confirm the target has been acquired.

4.4 Slope Measurement

The slope compensation feature calculates the adjusted distance based on elevation changes, providing a more accurate "play as" distance.

• To enable/disable slope: Use the dedicated slope switch on the side of the device. A green indicator will be visible when slope is active.
• For tournament play where slope features are not allowed, ensure the slope switch is in the OFF position.
