1.1 Safety Information
To reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, or injury, observe the following:
- Install this range hood in accordance with all specified instructions.
- Ensure proper electrical grounding.
- Do not operate any fan with a damaged cord or plug. Discard the fan or return it to an authorized service facility for examination and/or repair.
- Do not use this unit with any external solid-state speed control device.
- Clean grease filters frequently. Grease should not be allowed to accumulate on the fan or filters.
- Never leave surface units unattended at high settings. Boil-overs cause smoking and greasy spill-overs that may ignite.
- Always turn ON the hood when cooking at high heat or when flaming food.
- Use appropriate pan size for each surface element.

2. Installation
2.1 Pre-Installation Considerations
- Ensure the installation area has adequate structural support for the range hood's weight (approximately 56.3 pounds).
- Confirm the availability of a 110V electrical outlet within reach of the power cord.
- Verify ductwork is properly sized (6-inch round duct recommended for top venting) and clear of obstructions.
- Minimum clearance from cooking surface to bottom of hood is 24 inches, recommended 24 to 30 inches.

2.2 Mounting the Range Hood
- Carefully measure and mark the mounting points on the underside of the cabinet according to the hood's dimensions (19.68"D x 41.7"W x 7"H).
- Drill pilot holes for the mounting screws.
- Lift the range hood into position. Due to its weight, 1-2 people are required for proper installation.
- Secure the hood to the cabinet using the provided mounting screws. Ensure it is level and firmly attached.
2.3 Ducting Connection
- Connect the 6-inch round ductwork to the exhaust outlet on top of the range hood.
- Seal all duct connections with aluminum foil tape to prevent air leaks.
- Ensure the duct run is as short and straight as possible for optimal performance.
