Safety Information

Setup and Installation

Important: Installation of this hardwired lamp post requires electrical knowledge and potentially masonry work. It is strongly recommended to hire a licensed electrician for installation to ensure safety and compliance with local codes.

1. Site Preparation

• Choose a suitable location for the lamp post, ensuring it is clear of obstructions and has access to a hardwired electrical supply (120V AC).
• Prepare the ground foundation. This typically involves digging a hole, setting anchor bolts (7.68 inches apart from center to center) into fresh concrete, and allowing it to cure completely.
• Ensure the electrical wiring is safely routed to the installation point, ready for connection.

2. Assembly of Lamp Post

1. Carefully unpack all components.
2. Attach the triple lantern head to the main pole. Ensure all wiring connections are secure and properly insulated. Feed wires carefully to avoid pinching.
3. Secure the lantern arms to the center post using the provided hardware. Note that this step may require patience due to tight spaces around the dusk-to-dawn sensor.
4. Install three E26 base bulbs (max 60W each) into the sockets.

3. Mounting the Lamp Post

4. Position the mounting plate over the anchor bolts in the cured concrete foundation.
5. Carefully lift the assembled lamp post and align its base with the mounting plate.
6. Secure the lamp post to the mounting plate using the provided nuts and washers. Tighten securely to ensure stability.

4. Electrical Connection

7. Connect the lamp post's electrical wiring to your main power supply. Ensure all connections are made according to local electrical codes (e.g., black to black, white to white, ground to ground).
8. Verify all connections are secure and properly insulated.
9. Once all connections are complete, restore power at the circuit breaker.

Operating Instructions

Dusk to Dawn Sensor

The lamp post is equipped with an advanced photocell sensor that automatically detects ambient light levels. It will turn on at dusk and turn off at dawn, providing hands-free operation and energy savings.

• Ensure the sensor is not obstructed by objects, debris, or other light sources, as this may interfere with its operation.
• No manual adjustment is required for the dusk-to-dawn function.

GFCI Outlet Usage

The integrated GFCI (Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter) outlet provides convenient outdoor power with enhanced safety features. It is designed to protect against electrical shock by quickly shutting off power if a ground fault is detected.

• To use, simply plug your outdoor electrical devices into the two receptacles.
• The maximum load for the GFCI outlet is 1875W. Do not overload the circuit.
• Testing the GFCI: Press the "TEST" button on the outlet. The "RESET" button should pop out, and power to the outlet should be cut. Press the "RESET" button to restore power. If the GFCI does not trip or reset, it may be faulty and should be replaced by a qualified electrician. Test monthly.
