Unlocking Methods

Alarm and Silent Modes

Setup
Unpacking
The KAER 6 Gun Safe comes pre-assembled. Carefully remove all packaging materials. Inspect the safe for any signs of damage during transit. Report any damage to the retailer immediately.
Battery Installation
Locate the battery compartment on the inside of the safe door. Install 4 AA alkaline batteries (not included) according to the polarity indicators. Close the battery compartment cover securely.
Mounting the Safe
For optimal security, it is highly recommended to mount the safe to a wall or floor using the provided expansion bolts. Pre-drilled holes are available on the back and bottom of the safe.
- Choose a suitable location, ensuring the surface is sturdy enough to support the safe's weight.

Operating Instructions
Setting Your Digital Password
To set or change your digital password (3-8 digits):
- With the safe door open, press the red reset button located on the inside of the door (usually near the battery compartment).
- Enter your desired 3-8 digit code on the keypad.
- Press the "#" key to confirm. The safe will beep to confirm the new code.
Unlocking with Digital Password
Enter your 3-8 digit password on the keypad, then press "#". Turn the handle clockwise to open the door.
Unlocking with Emergency Key
Insert the emergency key into the keyhole located on the front of the safe. Turn the key and simultaneously turn the handle to open the door.
Using the Emergency Power Box
If the internal batteries are dead, connect the emergency power box (requires 4 AA batteries, not included) to the external power port on the keypad. This will temporarily power the keypad, allowing you to enter your digital password and open the safe.
Activating Silent Mode
To switch between silent and non-silent modes, press "11#" on the digital keypad.
Maintenance
- Battery Replacement: Replace batteries annually or when the low battery indicator appears. Use only AA alkaline batteries.
- Cleaning: Wipe the safe exterior with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents.
