3. Safety Information
- Installation should ideally be performed by a qualified technician to ensure proper fitment and safety.
- Always follow vehicle manufacturer's guidelines for tire removal, installation, and inflation.
- Ensure tires are properly inflated to the manufacturer's recommended pressure after sensor installation.
- Important Note: To avoid signal interference, do not keep the original old sensors inside your car. It is recommended to keep a distance of more than 15 meters from old sensors.
4. Installation
The OBEST TPMS sensors are designed for straightforward installation. No programming is required as they automatically connect with your Tesla vehicle. Follow these general steps for installation:
- Remove the Tire: Safely remove the tire from the vehicle and place it on a tire changer.
- Deflate and Disassemble: Remove the valve cap and fully deflate the tire. Use a machine's clamp to press the tire bead, loosening it from the rim. Avoid pressing directly on the valve stem.
- Remove the Old TPMS: Use a tire valve tool to unscrew and carefully remove the old sensor.
- Install the New TPMS: Insert the new OBEST TPMS sensor into the valve stem hole. Ensure the flat side of the sensor is toward the rim. Use a torque wrench to tighten it to 4 Nm (Newton meters) for proper fastening.
- Pump up the Tire: Reinstall the tire and inflate it to the manufacturer's recommended pressure. Correct inflation is crucial for proper TPMS function.
- Perform Tire Balancing: After inflation, perform tire balancing.
- Reinstall the Tire: Reinstall the tire back onto the vehicle.

5. Operation
Once installed, the OBEST BLE TPMS sensors will automatically connect with your Tesla vehicle. The vehicle's system will detect the new sensors and begin displaying tire pressure and temperature information on the dashboard. This process typically occurs after driving for a short period (e.g., 15-20 minutes) at a stable speed.

6. Maintenance
The OBEST TPMS sensors are designed for durability and minimal maintenance:
- Battery Life: The internal battery is built to last up to 5 years under normal operating conditions. Battery replacement is not typically feasible; the sensor unit is replaced when the battery depletes.
- Temperature Resistance: The sensors are engineered to withstand extreme temperatures from -40°C to +125°C, ensuring reliable performance in various climates.
- Regular Checks: Periodically check your tire pressure manually to cross-reference with the TPMS readings and ensure accuracy.

7. Troubleshooting & Relearn Procedures
7.1 Signal Interference
If you experience issues with sensor detection or inconsistent readings, ensure that old TPMS sensors are not present within the vehicle or in close proximity (within 15 meters) to avoid signal interference with the new BLE sensors.
7.2 Relearn Procedures
While OBEST sensors are designed for automatic connection, some vehicles may require a relearn procedure for the new sensors to be fully recognized by the vehicle's ECU (Engine Control Unit). There are typically three methods for relearning TPMS sensors:
- Method 1: Auto Relearn Procedure
This method involves driving the vehicle for a specified period (e.g., over 10 minutes at a stable speed of 25 km/h or higher) after installation. The vehicle's system automatically detects and registers the new sensors. Consult your Tesla owner's manual for specific auto-relearn instructions. - Method 2: OBDII Relearn Procedure (Relevant Tools Required)
This method requires an OBD tire pressure diagnostic tool. The tool is connected to the vehicle's OBD port to transfer new sensor IDs to the vehicle's ECU. This is often the most stable way to recognize new TPMS sensors. If your vehicle does not support auto-relearn, professional assistance with an OBDII tool may be necessary. - Method 3: Stationary Relearn Procedure
This method (sometimes called manual relearn) requires a TPMS activation tool to trigger the sensors while the vehicle is in learn mode. The vehicle then uses an RF signal to communicate with the ECU to establish sensor locations. This procedure may vary significantly by vehicle and often requires specialized tools and techniques. Refer to your vehicle's manual or seek professional help.
Always refer to your Tesla's owner's manual for the exact relearn procedure applicable to your specific model and year.
