Model: 2512S
1. Introduction
This manual provides comprehensive instructions for the safe and efficient operation of your TECHMOO 25CC Gas Chainsaw. Please read this manual thoroughly before use to ensure proper handling, maintenance, and to prevent personal injury or damage to the product. This chainsaw is designed for cutting small limbs, wood, trimming, saplings, pruning trees, branches, and general wood cutting tasks.
2. Safety Information
Your safety is paramount. Always wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) including safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, and sturdy footwear. Ensure the work area is clear of bystanders and obstacles. Never operate the chainsaw with one hand. Always maintain a firm grip with both hands.
2.1. Key Safety Features
- Rapid-reaction kick-back brake: Designed for quick stopping to protect against kickback.
- Hand guard: Provides protection for the operator's hand.
- Safety trigger and safety switch: Prevents accidental starts.
- Cushioned full wrap handle: Enhances balance, maneuverability, and comfort during operation.
2.2. Fuel Handling Safety
Gasoline is highly flammable. Handle fuel with extreme care. Always mix fuel in a well-ventilated area, away from ignition sources. Use the provided 2L fuel mixing bottle for accurate ratios. The recommended fuel mix for this 25CC 2-stroke engine is 25:1 (gasoline to oil). Store fuel in approved containers.

5.2. Cutting Techniques
Always ensure proper footing and balance. Hold the chainsaw firmly with both hands. Allow the chain to reach full speed before beginning a cut. For small limbs and branches, use a steady, controlled motion. Avoid cutting directly into the ground. The 25CC engine provides sufficient power for tasks like trimming, pruning, and light logging.

6. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the life of your chainsaw.
6.1. Chain Tension Adjustment
Check chain tension frequently, especially during initial use and as the chain warms up. A properly tensioned chain should be snug against the guide bar but still allow you to pull it around by hand. Adjust as described in Section 4.1.
6.2. Air Filter Cleaning
Periodically inspect and clean the air filter. A dirty air filter can reduce engine performance. Remove the air filter cover, take out the foam filter element, and clean it with warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and allow it to dry completely before reinstallation. The air filter is designed for easy cleaning and reusability.
6.3. General Care
- Keep the chainsaw clean and free of debris.
- Regularly check all nuts, bolts, and screws for tightness.
- Ensure the chain oiler is functioning correctly and providing adequate lubrication to the chain and guide bar.
- Store the chainsaw in a dry, secure location when not in use.
7. Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Engine won't start | No fuel, incorrect choke position, fouled spark plug, flooded engine. | Check fuel level, adjust choke, clean/replace spark plug, clear flooded engine by pulling cord with choke off and throttle open. |
| Chainsaw lacks power | Dirty air filter, incorrect fuel mix, dull chain. | Clean air filter, ensure correct 25:1 fuel mix, sharpen or replace chain. |
| Chain not moving | Chain brake engaged, incorrect chain tension, clutch issue. | Disengage chain brake, adjust chain tension, inspect clutch for damage (professional service recommended). |
| Excessive smoke | Too much oil in fuel mix, engine running rich. | Verify 25:1 fuel mix ratio, consult manual for carburetor adjustment if necessary. |
