Setup
1. Charging the Headset
Before first use, fully charge the headset. Connect the supplied USB-C charging cable to the headset's USB-C port and the other end to a powered USB port (e.g., computer, wall adapter). The LED indicator on the headset will show charging status.

2. Connecting to Devices
The HyperX Cloud III Wireless Headset connects wirelessly via a 2.4 GHz USB-C dongle.

For PC (Windows):
- Insert the USB-C wireless dongle directly into an available USB-C port on your PC. If your PC only has USB-A ports, attach the USB-A adapter to the USB-C dongle, then insert into a USB-A port.
- Power on the headset by pressing and holding the power button until the LED indicator illuminates.
- The headset should automatically pair with the dongle. Once connected, the LED on the dongle will be solid.
- In Windows Sound Settings, select "HyperX Cloud III Wireless" as your default playback and recording device.
For PlayStation 5 / PlayStation 4:
- Insert the USB-C wireless dongle into an available USB-C port on your console. If using PS4 or a PS5 without a USB-C port, use the USB-A adapter.
- Power on the headset.
- The headset will automatically connect. Adjust audio settings in the PlayStation system menu if necessary.
For Nintendo Switch:
- Insert the USB-C wireless dongle into the USB-C port on the bottom of the Nintendo Switch (in handheld mode) or into a USB-A port on the dock.
- Power on the headset.
- The headset will automatically connect.
3. Attaching the Microphone
The headset features a detachable microphone. Align the microphone's connector with the port on the left earcup and push firmly until it clicks into place. Ensure the microphone is fully inserted for proper function.

Operating the Headset
Power On/Off
- To power on: Press and hold the power button on the left earcup for 3 seconds.
- To power off: Press and hold the power button for 3 seconds.
Volume Control
Adjust the volume using the scroll wheel located on the right earcup. Scroll up to increase volume and down to decrease volume.

Microphone Mute
Press the microphone mute button on the left earcup to toggle the microphone on or off. An LED indicator on the microphone will show its mute status (red for muted).
DTS Headphone Spatial Audio
The headset supports DTS Headphone Spatial Audio for enhanced positional accuracy. This feature is typically enabled and managed through the HyperX NGENUITY software on PC. Ensure the software is installed and updated for optimal performance.
Maintenance
Cleaning
- Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe down the headset and earcups.
- For deeper cleaning, use the provided Diginerds Cleaning Kit. Follow the kit's instructions for safe and effective cleaning of electronics.
- Do not use harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaners, or immerse the headset in water.
- Ensure the headset is powered off and disconnected from all devices before cleaning.
Storage
When not in use, store the headset on the provided headphone stand in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Detach the microphone if preferred for storage or transport.
