ANCHEER 26" Sunshine Electric Bike (AMAK00026) Instruction Manual

Your guide to assembly, operation, and maintenance.

1. Introduction

This manual provides essential information for the safe and efficient use of your ANCHEER 26" Sunshine Electric Bike, model AMAK00026. Please read it thoroughly before your first ride and retain it for future reference. This electric bicycle is designed for adult use, offering pedal-assist and throttle modes for varied riding experiences.

2. Setup and Assembly

Your ANCHEER Sunshine electric bike arrives 85% pre-assembled. The following steps detail the completion of the assembly process. For a visual guide, please refer to the assembly video provided below.

2.1 Unboxing and Preparation

Carefully remove all packaging materials from the bicycle components. Ensure all parts listed in the packing list are present before proceeding.

2.2 Handlebar Installation

  1. Loosen the four screws on the handlebar stem using the attached tool.
  2. Position the handlebar into the stem, ensuring the front fork U-shaped baffle faces forward to prevent the front wheel from reversing and hitting the pedal, which is a safety hazard.
  3. Tighten the four screws securely.

2.3 Seat Installation

  1. Attach the reflector to the seat post.
  2. Insert the seat post into the frame. Adjust the height to your preference.
  3. Ensure the seat post does not exceed the safety line marked on the post.
  4. Secure the seat post clamp.

2.4 Front Disc Brake Installation

  1. Attach the front disc brake caliper to the fork using the provided bolts.
  2. Ensure the brake cable is properly routed and secured.

2.5 Front Wheel Installation

  1. Carefully align the front wheel with the fork.
  2. Ensure the disc is snapped into the groove of the disc brake caliper.
  3. Insert the quick-release skewer through the wheel hub and fork.
  4. Assemble the safety spacer, spring, and nut on both sides of the skewer. The safety spacer must be aligned with the slot reserved on the wheel.
  5. Tighten the quick-release lever securely.

2.6 Kickstand Installation

  1. Attach the kickstand to the designated mounting points on the bike frame.
  2. Secure it with the provided bolts and tighten them firmly.

2.7 Pedal Installation

  1. Identify the left (L) and right (R) pedals.
  2. The left pedal screws in counter-clockwise, and the right pedal screws in clockwise.
  3. Hand-tighten the pedals first, then use a wrench to fully secure them.

2.8 Headlight, Bell, and Reflectors Installation

  1. Mount the headlight to the front fork, paying attention to its fixed position.
  2. Install the bell and front reflector on the handlebar.

2.9 Battery Installation

  1. Tear off the insulating paper from the battery terminals.
  2. Slide the battery into its compartment on the bike frame until it clicks into place.
  3. Use the key to lock the battery securely.

3. Operating Instructions

The ANCHEER Sunshine Electric Bike offers multiple riding modes to suit your preferences and terrain.

3.1 Working Modes

  • PAS Mode (Pedal Assist): The motor provides assistance as you pedal. There are 5 levels of pedal assist to choose from, allowing you to customize the amount of power. This mode offers a range of up to 55 miles on low assist.
  • Throttle Mode: Engage the throttle to propel the bike without pedaling. You can switch between 1-5 levels on the LCD display to control speed, reaching up to 22 MPH. This mode offers a range of 22-25 miles.
  • Cruise Mode: To activate, maintain a speed of 10 km/h and long-press the "-" key for three seconds. The bike will maintain a fixed speed.
  • Pure Pedal Mode: Ride the bike like a traditional bicycle without any motor assistance.

3.2 LCD Display

The integrated LCD display provides real-time information about your ride:

  • Battery Level: Indicates remaining battery charge.
  • Pedal Assist Level: Shows the current assist level (1-5).
  • Speed Display: Displays current speed in MPH or KMH.
  • Mileage: Tracks your total distance traveled.

3.3 Riding Safely

Always wear a helmet and appropriate safety gear. Be aware of your surroundings and traffic laws. The bike is heavy (approximately 50 lbs), so allow ample stopping distance, especially at higher speeds. The mechanical disc brakes provide reliable stopping power, but anticipate your stops.

4. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and safe operation of your electric bike.

4.1 General Bike Maintenance

  • Brakes: Regularly check the front and rear disc brakes for wear and proper function. Adjust or replace brake pads as needed.
  • Tires: Maintain correct tire pressure as indicated on the tire sidewall. Inspect tires for punctures or excessive wear.
  • Chain and Gears: Keep the chain clean and lubricated. Ensure the 21-speed transmission shifts smoothly.
  • Fasteners: Periodically check all bolts and nuts for tightness, especially on critical components like the handlebars, seat post, and wheels.

4.2 Battery Care

  • Charge the 48V/374Wh lithium battery regularly, even if not in use, to maintain its health.
  • Avoid fully discharging the battery frequently.
  • Store the battery in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
  • The bike features an integrated waterproof line (PX54 rated) for enhanced durability against splashes, but avoid submerging the bike.

5. Troubleshooting
