5. Troubleshooting

5.1 Drive Not Detected

  • Ensure the power adapter is securely connected and the docking station is powered on.
  • Verify that the HDD/SSD is correctly inserted into the bay and fully seated.
  • Try connecting the docking station to a different USB port on your computer.
  • Test with a different USB data cable.
  • If it's a new drive, it might need to be initialized and formatted in your operating system's Disk Management (Windows) or Disk Utility (Mac).
  • Ensure the drive itself is functional by testing it in another enclosure or directly connecting it to a computer if possible.

5.2 Slow Transfer Speeds

  • Ensure you are using a USB 3.0/3.1/3.2 port on your computer. Connecting to a USB 2.0 port will limit speeds.
  • Verify that your operating system and drivers are up to date.
  • The actual transfer speed can be affected by the performance of the HDD/SSD itself.
  • Ensure UASP is enabled by your operating system (usually automatic with compatible hardware).

5.3 RGB Light Not On

  • Check if the power adapter is properly connected to both the docking station and the power outlet.
  • Ensure the power outlet is functional.
