The Zbtlink 4G LTE Router is a compact black device featuring four external high-gain antennas for enhanced signal reception and transmission. It is designed for easy integration into various network setups.

3. Setup Guide

Follow these steps to set up your Zbtlink 4G LTE Router:

3.1. Hardware Installation

1. Insert SIM Card: Locate the SIM card slot on the router. Insert your Nano SIM card into the slot until it clicks into place. Ensure the SIM card is correctly oriented.

2. Connect Power Adapter: Connect the provided power adapter to the DC port on the router and then plug it into a power outlet. The router will power on automatically.
3. Antenna Connection: Ensure all four high-gain antennas are securely screwed into their respective ports on the router.

Once powered on, the router will attempt to establish a 4G LTE connection. You can connect to the router via Wi-Fi or Ethernet.

1. Connect via Wi-Fi:
   • On your device (smartphone, laptop), search for available Wi-Fi networks.
   • Select the Wi-Fi network name (SSID) broadcast by the router. The default SSID and password are usually found on a sticker on the bottom of the router.
   • Enter the default Wi-Fi password to connect.
2. Connect via Ethernet:
   • Connect an Ethernet cable from the WAN/LAN port on the router to your computer's Ethernet port.

2. In the address bar, type the default IP address of the router (usually 192.168.1.1 or similar, check the sticker on the router) and press Enter.
3. Enter the default username and password (usually admin for both, check the sticker).

3.4. Important APN Settings

For stable network performance, it is recommended to manually configure the APN (Access Point Name) settings. You can find this option under "3/4/5G" in the "Network" section of the management interface.

• AT&T: phone or broadband
• Verizon: internet
• US Cellular: internet

4.1. Operating Modes

The router supports two primary operating modes:

• 4G Router Mode: The router uses a 4G Nano SIM card to provide internet access, distributing it via Wi-Fi and the LAN port. This is ideal for mobile use, RVs, camping, or areas without traditional broadband.

• Broadband Mode (Router Mode): The router can connect to an existing modem via its WAN/LAN port, functioning as a standard Wi-Fi router to distribute internet from a wired broadband connection.

4.2. Network Performance

The router provides a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network with speeds up to 300Mbps and supports 4G LTE download speeds up to 150Mbps.

5. Maintenance

To ensure optimal performance and longevity of your Zbtlink 4G LTE Router, follow these maintenance guidelines:

• Keep Clean: Regularly wipe the router with a soft, dry cloth to remove dust. Avoid using liquid cleaners.
• Ventilation: Ensure the router is placed in a well-ventilated area to prevent overheating. Do not cover ventilation holes.
• Firmware Updates: Periodically check the manufacturer's website or the router's management interface for firmware updates. Keeping the firmware updated can improve performance, security, and add new features.
• Power Cycle: If you experience minor issues, try power cycling the router (unplug from power, wait 10 seconds, then plug back in).
• Protect from Elements: Keep the router away from direct sunlight, excessive heat, moisture, and extreme temperatures.

6. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your Zbtlink 4G LTE Router, refer to the following common problems and solutions:

6.1. No Internet Connection / Dropping Connections

• Check SIM Card: Ensure the SIM card is correctly inserted and activated with a data plan.
• Verify APN Settings: As mentioned in Section 3.4, incorrect APN settings are a common cause of connectivity issues. Access the router's management interface (Network > 3/4/5G) and manually enter the correct APN for your carrier.
• Network Watchdog (Advanced Setup): If the router frequently drops connections, navigate to "Advanced Setup" in the management interface and find "Network watchdog". Set "execute action" to "no action". This can prevent the router from unnecessarily resetting its connection.
• Signal Strength: Check the 4G signal strength indicator on the router or in the management interface. If the signal is weak, try repositioning the router or adjusting the antennas.
• Power Cycle: Unplug the router's power adapter, wait for 10 seconds, and then plug it back in. Allow a few minutes for the router to restart and reconnect.

6.2. Slow Speeds

• Signal Strength: Ensure good 4G signal strength.
• Interference: Move the router away from other electronic devices that might cause interference (e.g., cordless phones, microwaves).
• Network Congestion: If many devices are connected or heavy data usage is occurring, speeds may be reduced.
• Carrier Throttling: Ensure TTL mode is enabled if your carrier is known to throttle hotspot data.

6.3. Cannot Access Router Management Interface

• IP Address: Double-check that you are entering the correct IP address (e.g., 192.168.1.1).
• Network Connection: Ensure your device is connected to the router's Wi-Fi or via an Ethernet cable.
• Firewall/Antivirus: Temporarily disable any firewall or antivirus software on your computer that might be blocking access.
• Reset Router: If all else fails, perform a factory reset. Locate the reset button (often a small pinhole, see Figure 2) and press and hold it for about 10 seconds with a paperclip until the lights flash. Warning: This will erase all custom settings, and the router will revert to factory defaults.
