Image 4.1: The thermostat displaying current and target temperatures, with indicators for cooling (left, snowflake symbol) and heating (right, flame symbol) modes. Cooling mode operates between 0°C/32°F and the target temperature, while heating mode operates up to 60°C/140°F.
  1. Press and hold the UP button for 3 seconds to switch between Heating Mode (indicated by a flame symbol 🔥) and Cooling Mode (indicated by a snowflake symbol ❄).
  2. Use the UP / DOWN buttons to select either the flame symbol for heating or the snowflake symbol for cooling.
  3. Press OK to confirm your selection.

4.4 Setting Programs (P1-P8)

The thermostat supports 8 programmable periods (P1-P8) for both heating and cooling. P1-P4 are for heating programs, and P5-P8 are for cooling programs.

  1. Press the SET button to access the program ON/OFF selection. The 'ON' symbol (standard) is activated.
  2. Use the UP / DOWN buttons to select 'ON' or 'OFF'.
    • If 'ON' is selected, all programs (P1-P8) are simultaneously active. A 'P' will be displayed next to the time.
    • If 'OFF' is selected, all P1-P8 programs are immediately deactivated, and the 'P' symbol disappears. Only standard heating or cooling will function.
  3. Press OK to confirm.

To adjust individual program settings (e.g., specific times and target temperatures for P1-P8), refer to the detailed programming section in the full manual (not fully provided in the source images, but typically involves pressing SET multiple times to cycle through program settings).

6. Maintenance

6.1 Battery Replacement

When the battery indicator on the LCD shows low power, replace the 2 AA batteries in the transmitter unit. Ensure correct polarity.

6.2 Cleaning

Wipe the thermostat and receiver with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or allow moisture to enter the devices.

7. Troubleshooting

7.1 Operating Principle (Heating Mode)

  • If the current temperature is greater than or equal to the target temperature (ACTUAL ≥ TARGET), the flame symbol is displayed, and the connected heating device switches on to raise the room temperature.
  • When the current temperature reaches the target temperature (ACTUAL = TARGET), the flame symbol disappears, and the thermostat sends an OFF command to switch off the heating device.
  • If the current temperature drops below the target temperature by 1°C / 1.8°F (ACTUAL < TARGET - 1°C/1.8°F), the heating device switches on again.
  • In standby mode, the thermostat maintains the room temperature within the range: (Target temperature - 1°C/1.8°F) ≥ Room temperature ≥ Target temperature.

7.2 Operating Principle (Cooling Mode)

  • If the current temperature is less than or equal to the target temperature (ACTUAL ≤ TARGET), the snowflake symbol is displayed, and the connected cooling device switches on to lower the room temperature.
  • When the current temperature reaches the target temperature (ACTUAL = TARGET), the snowflake symbol disappears, and the thermostat sends an OFF command to switch off the cooling device.
  • If the current temperature rises above the target temperature by 1°C / 1.8°F (ACTUAL > TARGET + 1°C/1.8°F), the cooling device switches on again.
  • In standby mode, the thermostat maintains the room temperature within the range: Target temperature ≤ Room temperature ≤ (Target temperature + 1°C/1.8°F).

7.3 Reset Function

To restore the thermostat to factory settings:

  1. Ensure the thermostat is in Heating or Cooling Mode (not standby).
  2. Press and hold the UP and DOWN buttons simultaneously for 3 seconds.
  3. The green backlight will flash 3 times, indicating that all settings have been deleted and factory defaults restored.
