3. Setup
3.1 Initial Charging
Before first use, connect the Surface Pro 9 to the power adapter and charge it fully. The charging port is located on the side of the device.
3.2 Attaching the Signature Keyboard
Align the magnetic connector of the Signature Keyboard with the bottom edge of the Surface Pro 9. The keyboard will snap into place securely. The keyboard also provides a storage and charging area for the Slim Pen 2.

3.3 Initial Power On and Windows Setup
Press the power button located on the side of the tablet to turn it on. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the Windows 11 Pro setup, including language selection, network connection, and user account creation.

5. Maintenance
5.1 Cleaning Your Device
- Use a soft, lint-free cloth slightly dampened with water or a screen cleaner to wipe the display.
- For the body and keyboard, use a dry, soft cloth. Avoid abrasive materials or harsh chemicals.
- Ensure all ports are free of dust and debris.
5.2 Battery Care
