3. Setup
- Unpacking: Carefully remove the alarm clock and all accessories from the packaging.
- Power Connection: Connect the provided USB data cable to the DC 5V input port on the back of the clock. Plug the other end of the cable into the included power adapter, and then plug the adapter into a standard electrical outlet. The display will illuminate.
- Battery Installation (Optional Memory Backup): Open the battery compartment cover on the bottom of the clock. Insert two (2) AAA batteries (not included), ensuring correct polarity (+/-). These batteries will preserve your time and alarm settings in case of a power outage, but will not power the display.
4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Setting the Time
- Press and hold the SET/12/24HR button (located on the top of the clock) for approximately 3 seconds until the hour digits begin to flash.
- Use the - or + buttons to adjust the hour.
- Press the SET/12/24HR button again to confirm the hour and move to the minute setting. The minute digits will flash.
- Use the - or + buttons to adjust the minutes.
- Press the SET/12/24HR button once more to confirm the minutes and exit time setting mode.
4.2 Setting the Alarm
- Press and hold the Alarm Clock button (alarm icon) for approximately 3 seconds until the alarm hour digits begin to flash.
- Use the - or + buttons to adjust the alarm hour.
- Press the Alarm Clock button again to confirm the alarm hour and move to the alarm minute setting. The alarm minute digits will flash.
- Use the - or + buttons to adjust the alarm minutes.
- Press the Alarm Clock button once more to confirm the alarm time. The alarm icon will appear on the display, indicating the alarm is active.
4.3 Enabling/Disabling the Alarm
- To enable the alarm: Short press the Alarm Clock button. The alarm icon will appear on the display.
- To disable the alarm: Short press the Alarm Clock button again. The alarm icon will disappear from the display.
4.4 Adjusting Alarm Volume
- While the alarm is sounding or in standby mode, short press the Volume button (speaker icon).
- Repeatedly press the Volume button to cycle through the 5 volume levels (L-01 to L-05). Select your desired volume.
4.5 Adjusting Display Brightness
- Short press the SNOOZE/Brightness button (sun icon).
- Repeatedly press the SNOOZE/Brightness button to cycle through the 4 brightness levels (100%, 75%, 50%, 10%) and the 'OFF' setting.
4.6 Using the Snooze Function
- When the alarm sounds, press the large SNOOZE/Brightness button on top of the clock. The alarm will pause for 5 minutes and then sound again.
- To completely turn off the alarm after it sounds, press any other button on the top of the clock (e.g., Alarm Clock button, SET button).
4.7 Manual DST Adjustment
- To activate DST: Long press the DST button. The time will advance by one hour, and the 'DST' indicator will appear on the display.
- To deactivate DST: Long press the DST button again. The time will go back by one hour, and the 'DST' indicator will disappear.
4.8 Switching Time Format (12/24-Hour)
- Short press the SET/12/24HR button to toggle between 12-hour and 24-hour time display. In 12-hour mode, 'AM' or 'PM' will be displayed.
