2. Package Contents
Ensure all items are present in the package:
- 1 x Digital Thermometer Hygrometer Main Unit
- 3 x Wireless Remote Sensors (with lanyards)
- 1 x 1.2m Round DC USB Cable
- 1 x User Manual
3. Setup Instructions
3.1 Powering the Main Unit
The main unit can be powered by either 3 AAA batteries (not included) or the included USB cable.
- Battery Power: Insert 3 AAA batteries into the battery compartment on the back of the main unit, observing polarity. The backlight will illuminate for 15 seconds when a button is pressed.
- USB Power: Connect the provided USB cable to the DC 5V port on the main unit and to a USB power adapter (not included). When powered by USB, the backlight remains continuously on and offers three adjustable brightness levels (high-low-off).
3.2 Powering the Remote Sensors
Each remote sensor requires 2 AAA batteries (not included). Open the battery compartment on the back of each sensor and insert the batteries, ensuring correct polarity.
3.3 Sensor Placement and Pairing
Place the remote sensors in desired locations within a 100m (328ft) range of the main unit, free from major obstacles. The sensors will automatically pair with the main unit upon power-up. The main unit will display readings from the three remote sensors (labeled 1, 2, 3) and its own indoor reading (labeled IN).

3.4 Mounting Options
The main unit offers multiple mounting options:
- Desktop Stand: Use the integrated kickstand for tabletop placement.
- Wall Mount: Utilize the hanging hole on the back to mount it on a wall.
- Magnetic Attachment: Magnets on the back allow attachment to metallic surfaces like refrigerators.
Remote sensors can be hung using their lanyards or placed on a flat surface.

4.2 Temperature Unit Selection
Press the "℃/℉" button on the main unit to switch between Celsius and Fahrenheit temperature displays.
4.3 Min/Max Records
The unit automatically records the minimum and maximum temperature and humidity values over the last 24 hours. Press the "MAX/MIN" button to view these records. Press again to cycle through current, maximum, and minimum values.
4.4 Comfort Indicator
The display features a comfort icon to indicate current environmental conditions:
- WET: Humidity ≥ 70%
- COM (Comfort): 40% ≤ Humidity ≤ 70% AND 20°C ≤ Temperature ≤ 28°C
- DRY: Humidity ≤ 40%
4.5 Trend Arrows
Trend arrows indicate whether temperature and humidity are rising, falling, or remaining stable.
- ↑: Rising
- →: Stable
- ↓: Falling
5. Maintenance
To ensure optimal performance and longevity of your device:
- Cleaning: Wipe the main unit and sensors with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or immerse in water.
- Battery Replacement: Replace batteries in both the main unit and remote sensors when the low battery indicator appears on the display. Ensure correct polarity when inserting new batteries.
- Storage: If storing the device for an extended period, remove all batteries to prevent leakage.
- Sensor Protection: While remote sensors are designed for outdoor use, placing them in a sheltered spot (e.g., under an eaves or porch) can extend their lifespan and protect them from direct harsh weather conditions. Avoid direct sunlight exposure for accurate temperature readings.
6. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your ORIA Digital Wireless Thermometer Hygrometer, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
- No Display on Main Unit:
- Check if batteries are inserted correctly with proper polarity.
- Replace old batteries with new ones.
- If using USB power, ensure the cable is securely connected and the power source is active.
- No Remote Sensor Readings:
- Ensure batteries in the remote sensor(s) are fresh and correctly inserted.
- Move the remote sensor closer to the main unit to check if it's out of range (max 100m/328ft without obstacles).
- Reduce interference from other electronic devices.
- Re-sync the sensors by removing batteries from both the main unit and sensors, then reinserting batteries into the sensors first, followed by the main unit.
- Inaccurate Readings:
- Ensure sensors are not exposed to direct sunlight, heat sources, or extreme drafts.
- Allow the units to stabilize for at least 30 minutes after setup, especially if moved to a new environment.
- Verify that the sensor is placed in a location that accurately represents the area you wish to monitor.
- Backlight Not Working (Battery Power):
- The backlight only stays on for 15 seconds when powered by batteries. For continuous backlight, use the USB power cable.
- Check battery level.
