Setup

The GOUYESHO replacement remote control requires no programming or pairing. Simply insert the batteries, and it is ready for use.

1. Battery Installation

1. Locate the battery compartment on the back of the remote control.
2. Slide the battery cover downwards to open it.
3. Insert two (2) AAA 1.5V batteries, ensuring the correct polarity (+ and -) as indicated inside the compartment.
4. Slide the battery cover back into place until it clicks securely.

Operating Instructions

Once batteries are installed, the remote control is ready to operate your compatible Tele System set-top box.

1. Basic Operation

• Power On/Off: Press the Power button to turn your device on or off.
• Channel Navigation: Use the CH+/CH- buttons to change channels.
• Volume Control: Adjust the volume using the VOL+/VOL- buttons.
• Number Pad: Use the number buttons (0-9) to directly enter channel numbers.
• Navigation: Use the directional arrow buttons and the OK button to navigate menus and confirm selections.
• Dedicated Buttons: The remote includes dedicated buttons for popular streaming services like YouTube and Prime Video for quick access.

2. Infrared Technology

The remote operates using infrared (IR) technology. Ensure there is a clear line of sight between the remote control and the IR receiver on your set-top box. The remote offers a control distance of over 8 meters (26 feet) and an angle of more than 120 degrees for flexible use.

• Buttons are unresponsive or sticky:
  • Clean the remote control surface and around the buttons as described in the Maintenance section.
• Intermittent control:
  • This often indicates low battery power. Replace the batteries.
