4. Operating Instructions

The UGREEN 200W 8-Port GaN USB C Charger Block features intelligent power distribution to optimize charging speeds across all connected devices. Understanding the power allocation for different port combinations is essential for achieving desired charging performance.

Port Overview:

  • USB-C1, USB-C2, USB-C3: High-power USB-C ports, primarily for laptops and other demanding devices.
  • USB-C4, USB-C5: Mid-power USB-C ports, suitable for tablets and some smartphones.
  • USB-C6, USB-A1, USB-A2: Lower-power ports, ideal for smartphones, earbuds, smartwatches, and other accessories. These ports do not support Power Delivery (PD) or Quick Charge (QC).

Power Distribution Guidelines:

The charger dynamically adjusts power output based on the number and type of devices connected. For optimal performance, refer to the following guidelines:

Table 1: Power Output per Port Configuration

Note: When multiple ports within the USB-C4/C5 group or the USB-C6/A1/A2 group are used simultaneously, the total power for that group is shared, and Power Delivery (PD) or Quick Charge (QC) capabilities may be limited or unavailable for those specific ports. For optimal fast charging, prioritize using the USB-C1/C2/C3 ports for high-power devices.

5. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Disconnect the charger from the power outlet and all devices before cleaning. Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the surface. Do not use liquid cleaners or aerosols.
  • Storage: Store the charger in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
  • Handling: Avoid dropping the charger or subjecting it to strong impacts. Do not disassemble the unit, as this will void the warranty and may cause damage.
  • Cable Care: Ensure charging cables are not bent sharply or tangled, as this can damage the cables and affect charging performance.

6. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your UGREEN 200W 8-Port GaN USB C Charger Block, please refer to the following common troubleshooting steps:

  1. Device Not Charging:
    • Ensure the charger is securely plugged into a working wall outlet.
    • Verify that the charging cable is properly connected to both the charger and your device.
    • Try using a different charging cable or a different port on the charger.
    • Confirm that your device is compatible with the charger's output specifications (refer to Section 4: Operating Instructions for power distribution).
  2. Slow Charging:
    • Check the power requirements of your device. High-power devices (e.g., laptops) should be connected to USB-C1, USB-C2, or USB-C3 for optimal speed.
    • Review the power distribution table in Section 4. Connecting too many devices, especially to the lower-power ports (USB-C4/C5, USB-C6/A1/A2), can reduce the available power per port.
    • Ensure your charging cable supports fast charging protocols (e.g., Power Delivery) if your device requires it.
    • Disconnect other devices to see if the charging speed improves for a specific device.
  3. Charger Feels Warm:
    • It is normal for the charger to become warm during operation, especially when charging multiple devices or high-power devices. The integrated GaN technology and temperature control features are designed to manage heat safely.
    • Ensure adequate ventilation around the charger. Avoid placing it in enclosed spaces or covering it.
    • If the charger becomes excessively hot or emits unusual odors, immediately disconnect it from the power outlet and all devices, and contact customer support.
