Introduction

The Igloo Kool Tunes Retro Bluetooth Boombox Cooler combines the classic Igloo Playmate cooler design with modern Bluetooth audio technology. This 14-quart cooler features integrated speakers, allowing you to keep your beverages chilled while enjoying your favorite music. It is designed for portability and durability, making it ideal for outdoor activities.

Setup

1. Initial Charging

Before first use, fully charge the Kool Tunes cooler. Locate the charging port, typically on the back or side panel near the control buttons. Use the provided charging cable to connect the cooler to a power source. The charging indicator light will show the charging status.

2. Bluetooth Pairing

1. Ensure the Kool Tunes cooler is powered on.
2. Activate Bluetooth on your mobile device (smartphone, tablet, etc.).
3. On your device, search for available Bluetooth devices. The cooler should appear as "Igloo Kool Tunes" or similar.
4. Select the cooler from the list to pair. A confirmation sound or light indicator on the cooler will confirm successful pairing.

3. KoolSync Pairing (for two Kool Tunes units)

To achieve a surround sound experience, you can pair two Kool Tunes coolers that both feature KoolSync technology. This feature is not backward compatible with older models.

1. Ensure both Kool Tunes coolers are powered on and not currently paired to any other device.
2. On one cooler, press and hold the KoolSync button (refer to the control panel diagram in the operating section). The indicator light will flash, indicating it's searching for another KoolSync unit.
3. Repeat the process on the second cooler.
4. Once connected, both coolers will play audio simultaneously, creating a stereo effect.

Operating Instructions

Power On/Off

Press and hold the power button on the control panel to turn the cooler's audio system on or off. An audible cue will indicate the power status.

Volume Control

Use the volume up (+) and volume down (-) buttons on the control panel to adjust the audio output level. You can also control the volume from your paired Bluetooth device.

Audio Playback

Once paired, audio from your device will automatically stream to the Kool Tunes cooler. Use your device to control playback (play, pause, skip tracks).

Using as a Cooler

The cooler functions as a standard Igloo Playmate cooler. Open the lid by pushing the button on the side and swinging the lid open. Fill with ice and your desired beverages or food items. Ensure the lid is securely closed to maintain cooling efficiency.

Maintenance

Cleaning

To clean the cooler, wipe the exterior with a damp cloth and mild soap. For the interior, use a solution of mild soap and water, then rinse thoroughly. Ensure the speaker grilles and control panel are dry before use. Do not submerge the cooler in water.

Battery Care

To prolong battery life, avoid fully discharging the battery frequently. Recharge the cooler regularly, especially if it will be stored for an extended period. Store in a cool, dry place.

Storage

When not in use, store the cooler in a clean, dry environment away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Ensure the lid is slightly ajar to prevent moisture buildup and odors.

Troubleshooting

• No Power: Ensure the battery is charged. Connect the cooler to a power source and allow it to charge for at least 30 minutes before attempting to power on again.
• No Sound: Check the volume level on both the cooler and your paired device. Ensure the cooler is successfully paired via Bluetooth. Try unpairing and re-pairing the device.
• Bluetooth Disconnection: Ensure your device is within the Bluetooth range (typically up to 33 feet or 10 meters). Avoid obstacles that may interfere with the signal. Try restarting both the cooler and your Bluetooth device.
• KoolSync Not Pairing: Verify that both units are KoolSync enabled and not currently paired to other devices. Ensure they are within close proximity during the pairing process.
• Poor Sound Quality: Check for interference from other electronic devices. Ensure the audio source is of good quality.
