Important Safety Instructions
Always prioritize safety when operating power tools. Read and understand all instructions before use. Failure to follow these instructions may result in serious injury or property damage.
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Always wear appropriate PPE, including safety goggles, cut-resistant gloves, and sturdy footwear. Hearing protection is also recommended.
- Work Area Safety: Ensure your work area is clear of obstructions, well-lit, and free from children or bystanders. Do not operate the chainsaw in wet conditions or near flammable liquids/gases.
- Accidental Startup Prevention: The chainsaw is equipped with a safety lock. To start, you must press the safety lock and the start button simultaneously. Never bypass safety features.
- Proper Grip: Always maintain a firm, two-handed grip on the chainsaw handle. Ensure your grip is non-slip.
- Kickback Prevention: Be aware of kickback. Avoid the tip of the guide bar contacting any object. Always cut with the bottom of the guide bar.
- Heat Dissipation: The chainsaw features upgraded cooling holes to prevent overheating during continuous high-power operation. Do not block these vents.
- Protective Baffle: The chainsaw includes a protective guide plate (baffle) to prevent debris from flying towards the user. Ensure it is properly positioned.

Setup
1. Battery Charging and Installation
The chainsaw is powered by 4.0Ah Lithium-Ion batteries. Ensure batteries are fully charged before first use.
- Connect the rapid charger to a power outlet.
- Insert the battery into the charger. The power indicator on the battery will show charging status.
- Once fully charged, remove the battery from the charger.
- Align the charged battery with the battery slot on the chainsaw handle and slide it in until it clicks securely into place.

2. Chain and Guide Bar Assembly/Adjustment
The JEXUGK mini chainsaw features a tool-free chain tightening system for convenience.
- Loosen and Remove Side Cover: Loosen the black knob counter-clockwise and remove it. Then, loosen the yellow knob counter-clockwise and remove the side cover.
- Install Guide Bar and Chain: Carefully place the chain around the guide bar, ensuring the cutting teeth are oriented correctly (facing forward in the direction of rotation). Then, fit the guide bar and chain onto the chainsaw's drive sprocket.
- Secure Side Cover: Place the side cover back onto the chainsaw and tighten the black knob clockwise to secure it loosely.
- Adjust Chain Tension: Turn the yellow knob clockwise to adjust the chain tension. The chain should be snug but still able to be pulled around the guide bar by hand. A tension distance of 1-3mm is ideal.
- Final Tightening: Once the tension is correct, fully tighten the black knob clockwise to secure the side cover and lock the chain tension in place.

3. Automatic Oiling System Preparation
The chainsaw features an automatic oiling system to ensure smooth operation and extend chain life. Lubricant is not included.
- Locate the oil reservoir cap on the top of the chainsaw.
- Unscrew the cap and carefully fill the reservoir with appropriate chainsaw bar and chain oil (not included). Do not overfill.
- Tighten the transparent cap securely.
- Before starting, squeeze the clear ball on the oil reservoir several times to prime the system and ensure oil reaches the chain.
Operating Instructions
Always wear safety goggles and gloves during operation. Ensure the work area is clear.
1. Starting and Stopping the Chainsaw
- Ensure the battery is securely installed and the chain is properly tensioned and lubricated.
- Hold the chainsaw firmly with both hands.
- To start, simultaneously press the safety lock button (located near the trigger) and then squeeze the trigger.
- To stop, release the trigger.
2. Cutting Procedures
- Before cutting, ensure the chain is rotating at full speed.
- Place the bottom of the guide bar against the material to be cut. Apply light, steady pressure. Do not force the chainsaw.
- For larger branches (up to 8 inches), make multiple passes if necessary. The chainsaw is designed to cut 8-inch branches in approximately 10 seconds under optimal conditions.
- Be mindful of the material's stability and potential for kickback. Avoid cutting with the tip of the guide bar.
- The chainsaw is versatile for branch cutting, wood cutting, garden pruning, and shrub trimming.

Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the lifespan of your chainsaw.
1. Chain Lubrication
- The automatic oiling system lubricates the chain during operation. Periodically check the oil level in the transparent reservoir.
- Refill the oil reservoir with appropriate bar and chain oil as needed.
- Before each use, squeeze the clear ball on the oil reservoir a few times to ensure the chain is adequately lubricated. This helps keep the cut smooth and the blade cool.
2. Cleaning and Storage
- After each use, remove the battery.
- Use the included oil brush or a soft cloth to clean sawdust and debris from the guide bar, chain, and motor housing.
- Ensure cooling vents are clear of obstructions.
- Store the chainsaw in its sturdy storage box in a dry, secure location, out of reach of children.
- If storing for an extended period, ensure batteries are partially charged (not fully charged or fully depleted) and stored in a cool, dry place.
Troubleshooting
Refer to the table below for common issues and their potential solutions.
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Chainsaw does not start. | Battery is not charged or not properly installed. | Charge the battery fully. Ensure the battery is securely clicked into place. |
| Chainsaw starts but chain does not move. | Chain tension is too tight or too loose. | Adjust chain tension using the yellow knob as per setup instructions. |
| Chainsaw cuts slowly or inefficiently. | Chain is dull or not properly lubricated. | Ensure the automatic oiling system is working and the reservoir is filled. Consider sharpening or replacing the chain. |
| Chainsaw overheats during use. | Continuous heavy use or blocked cooling vents. | Allow the chainsaw to cool down. Ensure cooling vents are clear of debris. Avoid prolonged heavy cutting. |
| Excessive vibration. | Loose chain or damaged guide bar/chain. | Check and adjust chain tension. Inspect chain and guide bar for damage and replace if necessary. |
