3. Safety Information
Please observe the following safety guidelines to prevent injury and damage to your power supply or system components:
- Ensure the power supply is disconnected from the AC power outlet before installation or handling.
- Do not open the power supply casing. High voltages are present inside, which can cause severe electric shock.
- Install the power supply in a well-ventilated area, away from heat sources, direct sunlight, and moisture.
- Use only the modular cables provided with your Montech Titan PLA power supply. Using incompatible cables may damage the PSU and connected components.
- Ensure all cables are securely connected to prevent loose connections, which can lead to overheating or system instability.
- This product is intended for use in computer systems only. Do not use it for any other purpose.

5. Setup and Installation
Follow these steps to install your power supply into your computer system:
- Prepare Your System:
- Turn off your computer and unplug the AC power cord from the wall outlet.
- Open your computer case.
- If replacing an existing PSU, disconnect all cables from the old power supply and remove it from the case.
- Mount the Power Supply:
- Carefully slide the Montech Titan PLA 1200W power supply into the designated PSU bay in your computer case.
- Align the screw holes on the power supply with those on the case.
- Secure the power supply using the provided mounting screws.
- Connect Modular Cables:
- Identify the necessary cables for your components (motherboard, CPU, GPU, storage drives, etc.).
- Connect the required modular cables to the corresponding ports on the power supply. Ensure they click into place.
- Route the cables neatly through your case's cable management channels.
- Connect to Components:

- Connect the 8-pin EPS/CPU cable(s) to your motherboard's CPU power connector(s).
- Connect the 12V-2x6/PCIe 5.1 cable or PCIe 6+2 pin cables to your graphics card(s).
- Connect SATA power cables to your SSDs/HDDs and Molex cables to any other peripherals requiring them.
- Final Checks:
- Double-check all cable connections to ensure they are firm and correctly seated.
- Close your computer case.
- Plug the AC power cord into the power supply's inlet and then into a wall outlet.
6. Operating Instructions
Once installed, operating your Montech Titan PLA 1200W power supply is straightforward.
- Power On: After connecting the AC power cord, flip the main power switch on the back of the power supply to the "ON" (I) position. Your computer can now be powered on via its front panel button.
- Zero RPM Mode: The Titan PLA 1200W features a Zero RPM mode. When enabled (via the switch on the PSU, refer to Image 2.4), the fan will remain off under low system loads (typically below 15-20% of total wattage) to ensure silent operation. As the load increases, the fan will automatically activate to maintain optimal cooling. If you prefer the fan to always spin, you can disable this mode using the switch.
- Power Off: To turn off your system, use the operating system's shutdown function. For complete power disconnection, flip the main power switch on the PSU to the "OFF" (O) position and unplug the AC power cord.
7. Maintenance
Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your power supply.
- Cleaning: Periodically clean the exterior of the power supply and its fan grille to prevent dust buildup. Use a can of compressed air to gently blow dust out of the fan and vents. Ensure the power supply is turned off and unplugged before cleaning.
- Ventilation: Ensure that your computer case has adequate airflow and that the power supply's intake and exhaust vents are not obstructed.
- Cable Management: Maintain tidy cable routing to prevent obstruction of airflow within the case, which can affect cooling efficiency.
