Introduction
This manual provides instructions for the installation, operation, and maintenance of your VTech IS8128-41 DECT 6.0 Cordless Phone System. This system features super long range, a smart call blocker, and Bluetooth Connect to Cell technology, designed to enhance your communication experience at home.
Please read this manual thoroughly to ensure proper use and to take full advantage of all available features.

Setup
1. Base Unit Connection
- Connect the telephone line cord to the TEL LINE jack on the back of the base unit and to a telephone wall jack.
- Plug one end of an AC adapter into the POWER jack on the back of the base unit.
- Plug the other end of the AC adapter into an electrical outlet not controlled by a wall switch.
2. Handset Battery Installation
- Open the battery compartment cover on the back of each handset.
- Connect the battery pack connector securely into the jack inside the compartment.
- Place the battery pack with the label THIS SIDE UP facing up into the compartment.
- Replace the battery compartment cover.
3. Handset Charging
Place each handset face forward in its respective base unit or charger. The CHARGE light on the handset will illuminate, indicating proper charging. Allow at least 12 hours for the batteries to fully charge before initial use.

Operating Instructions
Making and Receiving Calls
Your phone system supports both landline and cellular calls via Bluetooth. Ensure your cell phone is paired and connected to the base unit for cellular calls.
- To make a call: Press HOME/FLASH for a landline call or CELL for a cellular call, then dial the number.
- To answer a call: Press any talk key (HOME/FLASH or CELL).
- To end a call: Press OFF/CANCEL or place the handset in the charger.

Bluetooth Connect to Cell
This feature allows you to make and receive cellular calls using your VTech cordless handsets. Up to two cell phones can be paired simultaneously.
- Pairing: On the base unit, press MENU/SELECT, navigate to "Bluetooth," then "Add Cell." Follow the on-screen prompts to pair your cell phone.
- Downloading Contacts: After pairing, you can download up to 1,000 contacts from your cell phone to the phone system's directory.

Smart Call Blocker
The Smart Call Blocker helps filter unwanted calls. It can block robocalls automatically and allows you to blacklist specific numbers.
- Blocking a number: During a call or after reviewing Caller ID, press the dedicated CALL BLOCK button on the handset or base unit.
- Managing Block List: Access the Call Blocker menu via MENU/SELECT to add, edit, or delete numbers from your block list (up to 1,000 entries).

Digital Answering System
The integrated digital answering system records incoming messages, allows for outgoing announcements, and stores memos. It has up to 22 minutes of recording time.
- Playing Messages: Press PLAY/STOP on the base unit or access the Answering System menu on a handset.
- Recording Outgoing Announcement: Follow the voice guide prompts in the Answering System menu.
- Message Counter: The base unit features an LED message counter to display the number of new messages.

Intercom
Use the intercom feature to communicate between handsets or between a handset and the base unit.
- To initiate an intercom call: Press INT on a handset, then dial the desired handset number (1-4).
Caller ID Announce
The system can announce the name of the caller from your Caller ID service, allowing you to screen calls without looking at the display.

Display and Keypad
The handsets feature a 2-inch backlit display, and the base unit has a 3.5-inch backlit display for clear readability. The handset keypad is also backlit for use in low-light conditions.

Super Long Range
The DECT 6.0 technology provides an extended operating range of up to 2,300 feet, allowing for clear communication throughout your home, yard, and even beyond.

Maintenance
Battery Care
- Use only the provided VTech battery packs.
- For optimal performance, keep handsets in their chargers when not in use.
- If the phone will be stored for an extended period, remove the battery pack from the handset.
Cleaning
- Clean the phone and base unit with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use cleaning sprays or liquid cleaners.
- Avoid exposing the phone to excessive moisture or direct sunlight.
Troubleshooting

| No dial tone | Ensure the telephone line cord is securely connected to both the base unit and the wall jack. Check if the AC adapter is properly plugged in. |
| Handset displays "Low Battery" | Place the handset in its charger. Allow at least 12 hours for a full charge. If the issue persists, the battery pack may need replacement. |
| Cannot make or receive calls via Bluetooth | Ensure your cell phone is paired and connected to the base unit. Check your cell phone's Bluetooth settings. Make sure the cell phone is within range of the base unit. |
| Poor sound quality or static | Move the handset closer to the base unit. Avoid placing the base unit near other electronic devices that may cause interference (e.g., microwaves, Wi-Fi routers). |
| Answering system not recording messages | Check if the answering system is turned ON. Ensure there is sufficient recording time available. |
