Setup
Setting the Combination Lock
Your Bisofice Fireproof Document Bag comes with a pre-set combination lock. The default combination is typically 0-0-0. Follow these steps to set your personal combination:
- Ensure the lock is set to the default combination (0-0-0) and the zippers are disengaged.
- Locate the small reset button on the side or bottom of the lock (it might be a small hole that requires a pen tip to press).
- With the lock open, press and hold the reset button using a pointed object (e.g., a pen).
- While holding the reset button, set your desired 3-digit combination by turning the dials. Choose a memorable combination.
- Release the reset button. Your new combination is now set.
- Test the new combination by scrambling the dials and then entering your new code to open the lock.
Important: Do not forget your combination. There is no master key or override function. If you forget your combination, you may need to try all 1000 possible combinations (000-999) to unlock it.

Maintenance
- Cleaning: Wipe the exterior with a damp cloth and mild soap if necessary. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners. Allow to air dry completely before storing.
- Storage: When not in use, store the bag in a dry environment away from direct sunlight to preserve material integrity.
- Inspection: Periodically inspect the bag for any signs of wear, especially on the zipper and lock mechanism, to ensure continued security and protection.
Troubleshooting
- Problem: Lock will not open.
- Solution: Ensure you are entering the correct 3-digit combination. If you have recently changed the combination, try the new one. If you have forgotten the combination, you will need to systematically try all possible combinations (000-999). This process can be time-consuming.
- Problem: Zipper pulls do not engage with the lock.
- Solution: Make sure the zipper pulls are fully aligned and pushed firmly into the lock mechanism. The lock dials should be set to your combination before attempting to insert the pulls. If they are already inserted, ensure the dials are scrambled to lock it.
- Problem: Bag appears damp after exposure to water.
- Solution: While the bag is water-resistant, it is not waterproof for submersion. If the bag gets wet, remove contents immediately and allow the bag to air dry completely in an open position before re-using or storing. Check contents for any moisture.
