4. Setup

4.1 Initial Power On and Setup Wizard

  1. Press and hold the Power Button on the side of the tablet until the DEERTiME logo appears.
  2. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the initial setup wizard. This includes selecting your language, connecting to a Wi-Fi network, and signing in with your Google account.

4.2 Charging the Tablet

Before first use, fully charge the tablet using the provided charger and USB-C cable.

  • Connect the USB-C cable to the tablet's USB-C port.
  • Plug the charger into a power outlet.
  • The battery icon on the screen will indicate charging status.

4.3 Connecting the Keyboard and Mouse

The included keyboard and mouse connect via Bluetooth.

  1. Turn on the keyboard and mouse (usually a switch on the device).
  2. On your tablet, go to Settings > Connected devices > Bluetooth.
  3. Ensure Bluetooth is enabled.
  4. Select the keyboard and mouse from the list of available devices to pair them. Follow any on-screen prompts for pairing codes.

4.4 Inserting a MicroSD Card (Optional)

To expand storage, insert a microSD card (up to 1TB) into the dedicated slot.

  1. Locate the microSD card slot on the side of the tablet.
  2. Gently insert the microSD card with the gold contacts facing down until it clicks into place.
  3. The tablet will prompt you to format the card for use.

  • Touch: Tap an icon or option to select it.
  • Swipe: Drag your finger across the screen to scroll or navigate between screens.
