3.3 Recording Modes

  • Dual-Camera Recording: The F7N Elite records simultaneously in 4K (front) and 1080P (rear), capturing a wide 170° field of view for comprehensive coverage.
  • Loop Recording: This feature ensures continuous recording by automatically overwriting the oldest unlocked footage when the memory card is full. You can set loop recording intervals to 1, 3, or 5 minutes.
  • G-Sensor: The built-in G-sensor detects sudden impacts or collisions. When an event is detected, the current video segment is automatically locked and saved to prevent it from being overwritten by loop recording, serving as crucial evidence.
  • 24H Parking Mode (Requires Hardwire Kit): For continuous vehicle security surveillance, the 24H Parking Mode offers two options:
    • Collision Detection: When an unexpected collision occurs while parked, the G-sensor triggers automatic recording.
    • Time-Lapse: This mode condenses hours of footage into short, efficient clips, saving storage space and facilitating rapid review of events.

Note: The 24H Parking Mode requires an additional hardwire kit (ASIN: B09WCTZ3Y8) for continuous power supply.

4. Maintenance

  • Regular Cleaning: Gently wipe the camera lenses and screen with a soft, lint-free cloth to ensure clear recordings and optimal touchscreen responsiveness. Avoid abrasive materials or harsh chemicals.
  • Memory Card Management: It is recommended to format the memory card regularly (e.g., once a month) within the dash cam's settings to maintain optimal performance and prevent data corruption. Replace the memory card if you notice any degradation in recording quality or frequent errors.
  • Firmware Updates: Check the REDTIGER official website or app periodically for firmware updates. Keeping your dash cam's firmware up-to-date ensures access to the latest features and performance improvements.
  • Temperature Considerations: Avoid exposing the dash cam to extreme temperatures for prolonged periods. While designed for automotive use, excessive heat or cold can affect its lifespan and performance.
