1. Product Overview

The Buumin 5-in-1 Digital Sound Level Meter is a versatile device designed for environmental monitoring. It integrates a decibel meter, thermometer, hygrometer, clock, and time display into a single unit. Featuring an 8.6-inch high-definition LCD screen with adjustable brightness, this meter provides accurate readings for various parameters. The A-weighted SPL meter simulates human ear noise frequency characteristics, making it suitable for ambient noise detection.

Component Descriptions:

• Noise Meter Probes: Detects ambient sound levels.
• Battery Indicator: Shows current battery charge level.

3. Setup and Initial Use

Follow these steps to set up and begin using your device.

3.1 Charging the Device

1. Connect the provided Type-C cable to the Type-C Port on the device and to a 1A/2A 5V power adapter (not included).
2. The battery level indicator will show red while charging.
3. When fully charged, the battery level indicator will turn green.
4. Note: The device may not be fully charged out of the box. Please charge it before first use if it does not power on immediately.

3.2 Powering On/Off

• To Turn On: Short press the Power Button.
• To Turn Off: While the unit is on, press and hold the Power Button for 2 seconds.

3.3 Setting the Time

1. Press the 'M' (Setup) button twice quickly to enter the hour time setting mode.
2. Use the Left/Right buttons to adjust the hour to the desired value.
3. Press the 'M' button again to enter the minute time setting mode.
4. Use the Left/Right buttons to adjust the minute to the desired value.
5. Finally, press the 'M' button to confirm and exit the time setting.

3.4 Adjusting Screen Brightness

• To Decrease Brightness: Short press the Left button.
• To Increase Brightness: Short press the Right button.

3.5 Changing Temperature Units

• To Change to Fahrenheit (°F): Press the Right button twice quickly.
• To Change to Celsius (°C): Press the Left button twice quickly.

4. Operation

Once powered on, the device will automatically begin displaying real-time decibel levels, temperature, humidity, and time. No further action is required for continuous monitoring.

5. Understanding Readings

The device provides clear readings for decibel levels, temperature, and humidity. Refer to the table below for general comfort guidelines based on these measurements.

Decibel (dB) Readings:

• The device measures sound levels from 30 dB to 130 dB.
• Lower dB values indicate quieter environments, while higher values indicate louder environments.
• The decibel level indicator (bar graph) provides a quick visual reference of sound intensity.

Temperature and Humidity Readings:

• Temperature is displayed in Celsius (°C) or Fahrenheit (°F).
• Humidity is displayed as a percentage of relative humidity (%RH).
• Note: Due to varying environmental conditions, actual measurement values for temperature and humidity may have a deviation of 0-15%, which is considered a normal range.

6. Safety Information and Precautions

To ensure safe and proper operation of your device, please observe the following precautions:

• Microphone Sensor: DO NOT touch or poke the Microphone Sensor. It is not a reset button.
• Cleaning: DO NOT use chemicals or solvents to clean the product, as residual fumes may affect air quality readings. Use a soft, dry cloth for cleaning.
• Liquids: DO NOT place water or other liquids on or near the product to avoid electrical damage.
• Modification/Repair: DO NOT allow unauthorized modification or repair of this product.
• Disassembly: DO NOT take apart or disassemble this monitor. Doing so may damage the product and will invalidate the warranty.
• Intended Use: This decibel meter is designed for indoor use only. Keep it in a stable indoor environment.

7. Maintenance

To maintain the accuracy and longevity of your device:

• Keep the device clean by wiping it with a soft, dry cloth.
• Avoid exposing the device to extreme temperatures, humidity, or direct sunlight for prolonged periods.
• Store the device in a cool, dry place when not in use.

8. Troubleshooting

• Device does not turn on: Ensure the device is sufficiently charged. Connect it to a power source using the Type-C cable and allow it to charge for some time before attempting to power it on again.
• Temperature/Humidity readings seem inaccurate: A deviation of 0-15% in actual measurement values for temperature and humidity is normal due to different environmental conditions. Ensure the air inlet is not obstructed.
