Product Overview
The Sharp Sunrise Alarm Clock features an intuitive design with clearly labeled buttons for easy control of its various functions. The main display shows the time, and the top dome provides light simulation and mood lighting.

Setup
1. Power Connection
Plug the alarm clock into a standard household wall outlet (110V/120V compatible) using the provided power cord. The clock's display will illuminate.
2. Battery Backup Installation
For battery backup, insert 2 x AAA batteries (not included) into the battery compartment. This backup ensures time and alarm settings are retained during power interruptions. Note that the display will not be lit when operating solely on battery backup.
3. Setting the Time
- Press the TIME SET button. The hour digits will flash.
- Use the +/- VOL buttons to adjust the hour. Pay attention to the AM/PM indicator.
- Press TIME SET again. The minute digits will flash.
- Use the +/- VOL buttons to adjust the minutes.
- Press TIME SET once more to confirm and exit time setting mode.
Operating Instructions
1. Setting an Alarm
- Press the ALARM SET button. The alarm hour digits will flash.
- Use the +/- VOL buttons to adjust the alarm hour.
- Press ALARM SET again. The alarm minute digits will flash.
- Use the +/- VOL buttons to adjust the alarm minutes.
- Press ALARM SET to confirm. The alarm indicator will appear on the display.
- To turn off the alarm, press ALARM SET until the alarm indicator disappears.
2. Sunrise Simulation
The sunrise simulation feature gradually brightens the light before your set alarm time, mimicking a natural sunrise.
- Ensure an alarm is set.
- Press the SUNRISE SET button. The display will show options for 30, 60, or 90 minutes.
- Use the +/- VOL buttons to select the desired duration for the light to gradually increase.
- Press SUNRISE SET again to confirm. The sunrise indicator will appear on the display.

3. Sunset Simulation
The sunset simulation feature gradually dims the light, helping you wind down before bedtime.
- Press the SUNSET SET button. The display will show options for 30, 60, or 90 minutes.
- Use the +/- VOL buttons to select the desired duration for the light to gradually decrease.
- Press SUNSET SET again to confirm.
4. Multi-color Mood Light
The alarm clock offers 8 different color modes for mood lighting.
- Press the LIGHT button to cycle through the 8 color modes: Warm White, Yellow, Red, Green, Blue, Blue & Magenta Mix, Green & Yellow Mix, Rainbow.
- To adjust the brightness of the mood light, use the Light Dimmer Dial located on the side of the unit. There are 5 levels of brightness (100%, 75%, 50%, 25%, 5%).
5. Sleep Sounds
Choose from 5 tranquil sleep sounds to help you relax.
- Press the SOUNDS button to cycle through the 5 available sounds: Calm, Rain, Thunder, White Noise, Lullaby.
- Use the +/- VOL buttons to adjust the volume (15 levels).
- To set a timer for the sleep sound, press the SNOOZE/DIMMER/SOUND TIMER button. The display will show options for 30, 60, or 90 minutes. Select your desired duration using the +/- VOL buttons.

6. Snooze Function
When the alarm sounds, press the SNOOZE/DIMMER/SOUND TIMER button to activate a 9-minute snooze. The alarm will sound again after 9 minutes.
7. Display Dimmer Control
To adjust the brightness of the time display, press the SNOOZE/DIMMER/SOUND TIMER button (when not in snooze mode) to cycle through the 4 brightness levels: 100%, 50%, 5%, and OFF.
Maintenance
To ensure the longevity and proper functioning of your Sharp Sunrise Alarm Clock, follow these simple maintenance guidelines:
- Cleaning: Wipe the unit with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners, waxes, or solvents.
- Storage: If storing the clock for an extended period, remove the AAA batteries to prevent leakage.
- Environment: Keep the clock in a dry environment, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your Sharp Sunrise Alarm Clock, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
- Clock not powering on or display is blank:
- Ensure the power cord is securely plugged into a working wall outlet.
- Check if the display dimmer is set to 'OFF'. Press the SNOOZE/DIMMER/SOUND TIMER button to adjust brightness. - Alarm not sounding:
- Verify that the alarm is set and the alarm indicator is visible on the display.
- Check the alarm volume level using the +/- VOL buttons. - Sunrise/Sunset light not working:
- Ensure the respective simulation feature is activated and its indicator is visible.
- Confirm that the main power is connected, as light functions do not operate on battery backup. - Sleep sounds are unclear or distorted:
- Adjust the volume using the +/- VOL buttons.
- Ensure the unit is placed on a stable surface to avoid vibrations affecting sound quality. - Time or settings reset after power outage:
- Ensure fresh AAA batteries are installed for the battery backup function. The battery backup only retains settings, it does not power the display or light functions.
