4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Understanding Measurement Modes
The RT-100S measures three types of electromagnetic fields:
- Electric Field (EF): Detects radiation from appliances like microwaves, refrigerators, and power lines.
- Magnetic Field (MF): Measures magnetic radiation from devices like motors, microwaves, and refrigerators.
- Radio Frequency (RF): Monitors radiation from Wi-Fi routers, cell phones, and 5G signals.

4.2 Reading the Display
The large display features a three-color backlight indicator (green, orange, and red) that changes based on radiation levels, providing instant visual feedback on EMF exposure. This allows for easy assessment of low, moderate, and high radiation zones.

4.3 Alarm Modes
The device is equipped with sound, screen, and light alerts that activate when measured radiation levels exceed safe limits. You can easily turn off the sound alerts if preferred, while the visual and light indicators will still highlight areas with higher radiation, making it ideal for both indoor and outdoor use.

- Keep the device clean by wiping it with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Store the device in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
- Avoid exposing the device to strong magnetic fields or excessive moisture, as this may affect its performance.
- Ensure the Type-C charging port is free from dust and debris to maintain proper charging functionality.
6. Troubleshooting
If you encounter any issues with your ERICKHILL RT-100S EMF Detector, consider the following general troubleshooting steps:
- Device not powering on: Ensure the device is fully charged. Connect it to the Type-C charging cable and allow it to charge for a period before attempting to power on again.
- Inaccurate readings: Ensure the device is held correctly, with the front sensing area pointed towards the source of EMF. Avoid holding the device too close to your body or other electronic devices that might interfere with readings.
- Alarms not sounding: Check if the sound alerts have been silenced. Long press the AVG/VPP button to toggle sound alerts on/off.
- Screen issues: If the screen is unresponsive or displaying incorrectly, try powering the device off and on again.
