1. Introduction
Thank you for choosing ALEPOD Solar Pathway Lights. These solar-powered lights are designed to provide efficient and reliable illumination for your outdoor spaces, including yards, lawns, walkways, and driveways. Utilizing advanced solar technology, they absorb sunlight during the day to power LED lights at night, offering an energy-efficient and environmentally friendly lighting solution. This manual provides detailed instructions for setup, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting to ensure optimal performance and longevity of your lights.
2. Safety Information
Please read all safety instructions carefully before installing and using the product. Retain this manual for future reference.
- Do not attempt to disassemble or modify the product. This may void the warranty and cause damage.
- Keep the solar panel clean to ensure efficient charging.
- Avoid placing the lights in areas where they may be submerged in water for extended periods. While waterproof, prolonged submersion is not recommended.
- Ensure the ground spike is securely inserted into the ground to prevent the light from falling over.
- Do not dispose of batteries in fire, as they may explode.
- Keep out of reach of children.
3. Package Contents
Verify that all components are present in your package:
- 8 x ALEPOD Solar Pathway Lights
- 24 x Garden Stakes (for adjustable height)

4. Product Components
Familiarize yourself with the parts of your ALEPOD Solar Pathway Light:

Figure 1: Exploded view of the solar pathway light, showing the transparent solar panel, upgraded filament LED, garden stakes, ON/OFF switch, and upgraded ground spike.
- Solar Panel: Absorbs sunlight to charge the internal battery.
- Light Head: Contains the LED light source and light sensor.
- ON/OFF Switch: Located on the underside of the solar panel, used to activate the light.
- Connecting Poles/Stakes: Modular sections to adjust the height of the light.
- Ground Spike: Inserted into the ground to secure the light.
5. Setup & Installation
Follow these steps to assemble and install your solar pathway lights:
- Unpack Components: Carefully remove all parts from the packaging.
- Activate the Light: Locate the ON/OFF switch on the underside of the solar panel. Slide the switch to the "ON" position.
- Assemble the Light:
- Attach the light head to the top connecting pole.
- Connect the desired number of garden stakes (poles) to achieve your preferred height. The lights offer adjustable height options.
- Attach the ground spike to the bottom connecting pole.
- Choose an Installation Location: Select a location that receives direct sunlight for at least 6-8 hours daily. Avoid areas shaded by trees, buildings, or other obstructions, as this will affect charging efficiency.
- Install the Light: Gently push the assembled light, with the ground spike first, into soft ground. Ensure the light is stable and upright. Do not force the light into hard ground, as this may damage the spike. If the ground is hard, loosen it with water or a tool before insertion.

6. Operating Instructions
Your ALEPOD Solar Pathway Lights are designed for simple, automatic operation.
6.1 Automatic Dusk-to-Dawn Operation
Once the ON/OFF switch is set to "ON", the lights will operate automatically:
- During the day, the solar panel will absorb sunlight and convert it into electrical energy, charging the internal AA battery. This typically requires 4-8 hours of direct sunlight for a full charge.
- At dusk, the built-in light sensor will detect the decrease in ambient light and automatically turn on the LED lights.
- At dawn, the light sensor will detect the increase in ambient light and automatically turn off the LED lights, resuming the charging process.
- A full charge can provide illumination for up to 8-12 hours.

6.2 Adjustable Light Modes
The lights feature three adjustable lighting modes. To cycle through the modes, gently press the button located on the underside of the solar panel (often integrated with the ON/OFF switch or a separate small button). Each press will switch to the next mode:
- Mode 1: Soft, ambient glow (e.g., lower brightness for subtle decoration).
- Mode 2: Medium brightness (e.g., standard pathway illumination).
- Mode 3: Bright, clear light (e.g., maximum brightness for enhanced visibility or security).
Select the mode that best suits your needs and desired outdoor ambiance.
7. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the lifespan of your solar pathway lights.
7.1 Cleaning
- Solar Panel: Periodically wipe the solar panel with a soft, damp cloth to remove dust, dirt, leaves, or snow. A clean solar panel ensures maximum sunlight absorption and charging efficiency.
- Light Fixture: Clean the light fixture and shade with a soft, damp cloth as needed to maintain clarity and brightness.
7.2 Battery Care
- The lights use 1 AA rechargeable battery (included). While designed for longevity, rechargeable batteries have a finite lifespan.
- If the light duration significantly decreases after prolonged use, the battery may need replacement. Use only rechargeable AA batteries of the same type and voltage (e.g., Ni-MH).
- To replace the battery, carefully open the battery compartment (usually located under the solar panel) and replace the old battery with a new one, observing correct polarity.
7.3 Weather Resistance
These lights are IP65 waterproof, frost-resistant, and heat-resistant, designed to withstand various weather conditions. However, during extreme weather events (e.g., severe storms, prolonged heavy snow), it is advisable to temporarily store the lights indoors to prevent potential damage and prolong their life.
