4. Setup

4.1 Battery Installation

The CNKMJRBD Cordless Reciprocating Saw is designed for compatibility with Dewalt 20V MAX batteries. Note: Battery and charger are not included with this tool.

  1. Align the battery pack with the battery port on the bottom of the saw handle.
  2. Slide the battery pack into the port until it clicks securely into place.
  3. To remove the battery, press the release button on the battery pack and slide it out.

4.2 Blade Installation

This saw features a tool-free blade change system for quick and easy blade replacement.

  1. Rotate the Locking Sleeve: Grip the locking sleeve at the front of the saw and rotate it counter-clockwise.
  2. Insert the Saw Blade: With the locking sleeve held open, insert the shank of the desired saw blade fully into the blade clamp. Ensure the blade teeth are facing the correct direction for cutting.
  3. Release the Locking Sleeve: Release the locking sleeve. It will automatically snap back into place, securing the blade. Gently pull on the blade to confirm it is firmly seated.

5. Operating Instructions

  • Cutting Technique: Allow the blade to reach full speed before contacting the workpiece. Apply steady, even pressure. Do not force the saw, let the blade do the work.
  • Material Compatibility: Use appropriate blades for cutting wood, metal, and PVC pipes.
  • Stopping the Saw: Release the variable speed trigger to stop the saw. Engage the safety lock immediately after use.
