Setup

Power Connection

The Alarmo requires a power source for operation. Please note that a power adapter (USB-C connection) is not included with the product and must be purchased separately. Connect the USB-C cable to the device and plug it into a suitable power outlet.

The device includes one 9V battery, which is typically used for backup power in case of a main power interruption, ensuring your settings are retained.

Initial Configuration

  1. Connect Power: Plug in the USB-C power adapter (sold separately).
  2. Set Time: Follow the on-screen prompts to set the current time and date.
  3. Wi-Fi Connection: For full functionality, including downloading additional themes and sounds, connect the Alarmo to your home Wi-Fi network. Navigate to the settings menu and select the Wi-Fi option. Enter your network password when prompted. This process may require careful input.

Operating Instructions

Setting an Alarm

The Alarmo offers a variety of alarm customization options:

  • Alarm Sounds: Choose from 35 unique alarm sounds derived from five different Nintendo games. Each selection provides distinct sounds, visual designs, and wake-up experiences. The screen's visual theme will adapt to your chosen game.
  • Setting Time: Navigate through the menu to set your desired wake-up time.

Alarm Modes

Two primary alarm modes are available:

  • Power Alarm: This mode intensifies the alarm sound and visuals the longer you remain in bed after the alarm activates, encouraging you to get up.
  • Button Alarm: For a more traditional experience, select the Button Alarm. In this mode, the alarm sound remains constant until you manually dismiss it.

Motion Sensor Functionality

The Alarmo features a motion sensor that detects your movements. When the alarm sounds, the device will react to your activity. As soon as you physically get out of bed, the alarm will automatically cease without requiring you to touch the clock. This motion sensor functionality is active only when the Button Alarm mode is not selected.

Slumber Sounds

To aid relaxation before sleep, you can set "slumber sounds." These sounds will play at a pre-set time when you go to bed, providing a calming audio environment.

Sleep Activity Statistics

The Alarmo can track and provide statistics on your sleep activity. This includes information on the duration you spent in bed, the amount of movement during your sleep, and the time it took for you to get up after your alarm.

Maintenance

To ensure the longevity and proper functioning of your Nintendo Sound Clock Alarmo, follow these simple maintenance guidelines:

  • Cleaning: Gently wipe the device with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners, solvents, or harsh chemicals, as these can damage the surface.
  • Placement: Place the alarm clock on a stable, flat surface away from direct sunlight, excessive heat, or moisture.
  • Battery Replacement: If the backup battery needs replacement, ensure the device is disconnected from main power. Open the battery compartment, replace the 9V battery with a new one of the same type, and securely close the compartment.

Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your Alarmo, try the following steps:

  • No Power/Display: Ensure the USB-C power adapter is securely connected to both the device and a working power outlet. Verify the power outlet is functional.
  • Alarm Not Sounding: Check that the alarm is enabled and the volume is not set to zero. Confirm the correct alarm time is set.
  • Motion Sensor Issues: Ensure the Button Alarm mode is not active. Verify there are no obstructions blocking the sensor.
  • Wi-Fi Connection Problems: Re-enter your Wi-Fi password carefully. Ensure the device is within range of your router. Try restarting your router.
  • Device Unresponsive: Disconnect the power adapter, remove the backup battery, wait for 30 seconds, then reinsert the battery and reconnect power to perform a soft reset.
