3. Setup

3.1 Inserting Batteries (GoCheck2 Meter)

The GoCheck2 meter is powered by two CR2032 lithium batteries. To insert or replace batteries:

  1. Open the battery compartment cover on the back of the meter.
  2. Insert two CR2032 batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
  3. Close the battery compartment cover securely.

3.2 Preparing the Lancing Device

The lancing device is used to obtain a blood sample. Follow these steps:

  1. Remove the cap from the lancing device.
  2. Insert a new, sterile lancet firmly into the lancet holder.
  3. Twist off the protective cap from the lancet.
  4. Replace the lancing device cap.

4.2 Understanding Results and Memory Function

The GoCheck2 meter provides accurate results within 5 seconds. A typical fasting blood glucose reading for a non-diabetic individual is usually between 80-120 mg/dL. Always consult your healthcare professional for personalized target ranges and interpretation of your results.

The meter can store up to 500 blood glucose test results, allowing you to track your trends over time. It can also calculate average readings for 7, 14, 30, and 90 days, providing a comprehensive overview of your glucose control.

  • Meter Not Turning On: Check if the batteries are correctly inserted and have sufficient charge. Replace batteries if necessary.
  • No Blood Sample: Adjust the lancing device depth if the prick is too shallow. Ensure your hands are warm and you gently squeeze your finger to encourage blood flow.
