2. Product Overview
The TFA.me Gateway system is designed for precise climate control and monitoring. The central Gateway unit acts as a receiver for up to 50 TFA-ID temperature and humidity sensors (5 displayed locally, up to 50 online). It transmits data to the TFA.me online portal, accessible worldwide via Wi-Fi and internet connection. The Gateway also features an integrated display and internal sensors for local indoor climate readings.

3. Package Contents
Verify that all items are present and in good condition upon unpacking.
- 1x TFA Dostmann WIFI Gateway TFA.me ID-01
- 3x Temperature Transmitters (Model 30.3902.02) with cable sensors
- 1x Power Adapter (EU plug)
- 1x User Manual (multi-language)
Note: 3x 1.5V AAA batteries for the Gateway and 6x 1.5V AA batteries for the transmitters are not included and must be purchased separately.
4. Setup
4.1 Powering the Gateway
- Connect the provided power adapter to the Gateway and plug it into a power outlet.
- (Optional) For backup power, open the battery compartment on the back of the Gateway and insert 3x 1.5V AAA batteries, observing polarity.

4.2 Installing Transmitters
- Open the battery compartment of each temperature transmitter.
- Insert 2x 1.5V AA batteries into each transmitter, observing polarity.
- Close the battery compartment securely.
- Place the transmitters in desired locations within the 100m range of the Gateway. The cable sensor can be used for specific temperature measurements (e.g., in a refrigerator).
4.3 Connecting to Wi-Fi and TFA.me Portal
The Gateway requires a Wi-Fi connection to transmit data to the TFA.me online portal.
- Ensure your Gateway is powered on.
- On the Gateway, follow the on-screen prompts or refer to the detailed manual section on Wi-Fi setup to connect to your local Wi-Fi network. This typically involves entering your Wi-Fi password.
- Once connected, the Wi-Fi symbol on the Gateway display will indicate a successful connection.
- Visit www.tfa.me on your computer or mobile device.
- Create a new account or log in if you already have one.
- Follow the instructions on the TFA.me portal to add your Gateway and transmitters using their individual ID numbers. These IDs are usually found on the back of the devices or in the packaging.

5. Operation
5.1 Gateway Display
The Gateway's integrated display provides real-time information:
- Time and Date: Automatically synchronized via Wi-Fi.
- Indoor Climate: Current temperature and humidity measured by the Gateway's internal sensors.
- External Sensor Data: Use the "CH" button on the back of the Gateway to cycle through readings from up to 5 connected external sensors. The display can show temperature and humidity for each selected channel.
- Wi-Fi Status: An icon indicates the status of the Wi-Fi connection.

5.2 Monitoring via TFA.me Portal
The TFA.me online portal offers advanced monitoring capabilities:
- Global Access: View all your sensor data from anywhere in the world.
- Detailed Graphs: Access detailed trend graphs for temperature and humidity over various periods (day, week, month).
- Multi-Device Support: Monitor your data on smartphones, tablets, or PCs.
5.3 Alerts and Data Export
- Setting Alerts: Within the TFA.me portal, you can define upper and lower limits for temperature and humidity for each sensor. If these limits are exceeded or fallen below, you will receive an email notification.
- Data Export: The portal allows you to manually or automatically export measured values as graphs or tables via email. This feature is useful for long-term data analysis and record-keeping.
6. Maintenance
6.1 Battery Replacement
- Gateway: If using AAA batteries for backup, replace them when the low battery indicator appears on the display. Ensure correct polarity.
- Transmitters: Replace AA batteries in each transmitter when their respective low battery indicator is shown on the Gateway or in the TFA.me portal.
6.2 Cleaning
Clean the devices with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents. Ensure no moisture enters the battery compartments or electronic components.
