5. Setup

5.1 Charging the Device

The P6AI scanner is equipped with a 2600mAh battery. A full charge provides up to 180 days of standby time and supports up to 180,000 scans. Connect the scanner to a power source using the provided USB charging cable. The indicator light will show charging status.

5.2 Connection Modes

The Inateck P6AI supports three connection modes: 2.4G wireless, Bluetooth, and wired USB. It is compatible with Windows, Mac, iOS, Android, iPad OS, and Linux operating systems.

5.2.1 2.4G Wireless Connection

1. Plug the 2.4G wireless adapter (USB dongle) into an available USB port on your computer or POS system.
2. Turn on the scanner. It will automatically pair with the adapter.
3. The transmission distance can reach up to 100 meters in open environments and 60 meters indoors.

5.2.2 Bluetooth Connection

1. Turn on the scanner.
2. Enable Bluetooth on your host device (smartphone, tablet, computer).
3. Search for available Bluetooth devices and select 'Inateck P6AI' to pair.
4. The transmission distance can reach up to 40 meters.

5.2.3 Wired USB Connection

1. Connect the scanner directly to your computer's USB port using the provided USB cable.
2. The scanner will function as a plug-and-play device, requiring no additional drivers.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1 Basic Scanning

Point the scanner at a barcode and press the trigger button. The scanner will emit a light beam and a confirmation sound/vibration upon successful decoding. The P6AI boasts excellent decoding ability, reading blurred, damaged (partially broken), and dirty 1D barcodes, as well as special formats like USPS, FedEx, Code 32, and VIN.

7.1 Cleaning
