1. Safety Instructions

3. Setup

3.1 Battery Installation and Charging

1. Ensure the saw's safety lock is engaged (trigger is locked).
2. Align the battery pack with the battery port on the bottom of the saw handle.
3. Slide the battery pack into the saw until it clicks securely into place.
4. To remove the battery, press the release button on the battery pack and slide it out.
5. To charge the battery, connect the charger to a power outlet and then connect the battery pack to the charger. The indicator light on the charger will show the charging status.

3.2 Blade Installation

1. Ensure the battery is removed from the saw before installing or changing blades.
2. Rotate the locking sleeve on the blade clamp counter-clockwise.
3. Insert the desired saw blade fully into the blade clamp. Ensure the blade teeth are facing the correct direction for cutting.
4. Release the locking sleeve. The blade will automatically lock into place. Gently pull on the blade to confirm it is securely fastened.
5. To remove the blade, rotate the locking sleeve counter-clockwise and pull the blade out. Be cautious as the blade may be hot if recently used.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Starting and Stopping the Saw:

1. Ensure the battery is installed and the correct blade is secured.
2. To start the saw, first disengage the safety lock by pushing it to the 'unlocked' position.
3. Press the variable speed trigger to start the saw. The harder you press the trigger, the faster the blade will move.
4. To stop the saw, release the trigger. Engage the safety lock when not in use.

4.2 Cutting Techniques:

• General Cutting: Place the shoe of the saw firmly against the workpiece. Start the saw before contacting the material. Maintain a firm grip and allow the saw to do the work.
• Wood Cutting: Use a coarse-toothed blade for faster cuts. For thicker wood, allow the blade to cool periodically.
• Metal Cutting: Use a fine-toothed blade. Apply cutting oil to the blade and workpiece to reduce heat and extend blade life.
• PVC/Plastic Cutting: Use a medium-toothed blade. Use a slower speed to prevent melting the material.
• Flush Cutting: The 4-position blade clamp allows for flush cuts against surfaces by flipping the blade upside down.

5. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your reciprocating saw.

• Cleaning: After each use, remove the battery and clean the saw with a soft, dry cloth. Use compressed air to clear dust and debris from ventilation openings. Do not use water or chemical cleaners.
• Blade Care: Inspect blades for wear, damage, or dullness before and after each use. Replace dull or damaged blades promptly to ensure efficient and safe cutting.
• Battery Care: Store batteries in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Do not store fully discharged batteries for extended periods.
• Storage: Store the saw and its accessories in the provided carrying case in a dry, secure location out of reach of children.
