Setup and Installation

Pre-Installation Checks
- Ensure your door's cross bore is 2-1/8 inches and thickness is 1-3/4 inches.
- Verify all components listed in the "What's in the Box" section are present.
- Gather necessary tools: Phillips head screwdriver.
Installation Steps
- Install Top and Bottom Latches: Insert the latches into the door edge.
- Place Deadbolt on Door: Position the deadbolt assembly on the door and secure it with screws.
- Place Handleset on Door: Align the handleset with the pre-drilled holes or existing handle configuration.
- Install Interior Lever: Attach the interior lever, securing it with the washer, screw, and screw cover.
- Install Top and Bottom Strikes: Mount the strike plates on the door frame for both the deadbolt and the handleset latch.

Operating Instructions
Locking and Unlocking
- From Exterior: Use the provided key to lock or unlock the deadbolt. The handleset can also be locked/unlocked via the key.
- From Interior: Use the thumb turn on the deadbolt to lock or unlock. The interior lever operates the handleset latch.
Using SmartKey Technology
The SmartKey feature allows you to re-key your lock to a new key in seconds, providing convenience and enhanced security.
- Insert your functioning key into the lock.
- Rotate the key 90 degrees clockwise.
- Insert the SmartKey reset tool fully into the small hole on the cylinder.
- Remove the SmartKey reset tool and the functioning key.
- Insert the new key you wish to use.
- Rotate the new key 180 degrees counter-clockwise.
- Remove the new key. The lock is now re-keyed to the new key.
Note: Always test the new key multiple times before closing the door to ensure successful re-keying.
Maintenance
