5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Basic Operation

1. Press the Power Button to turn on the dehumidifier. The display will show the current room humidity.
2. Press the Mode Button to select your desired operating mode:
   • Automatic Dehumidification: The unit will automatically adjust its operation to maintain the set humidity level.
   • Drying Mode: Designed for drying laundry, this mode operates continuously at high fan speed.
   • Oscillation Mode: The air outlet louver will swing to distribute dehumidified air more widely.
3. Use the Humidity Setting Buttons to set your desired humidity level (e.g., 40%, 50%, 60%). The unit will operate until this level is reached.
4. Press the Fan Speed Button to switch between High and Low fan speeds.

5.2 Wi-Fi and App Control

The Klarstein DryFy Connect 50L can be controlled remotely via the Klarstein app on your smartphone.

1. Download the Klarstein app from your smartphone's app store (iOS or Android).
2. Ensure your dehumidifier is plugged in and within range of your Wi-Fi network.
3. Follow the in-app instructions to pair your dehumidifier with your smartphone. This typically involves putting the dehumidifier into pairing mode (refer to the app or unit display for specific instructions).
4. Once connected, you can control all functions of the dehumidifier, including power, mode, humidity settings, and timer, directly from the app.

5.3 Timer Function

1. Press the Timer Button.

3. The timer will count down, and the unit will perform the programmed action once the time expires.

6. Maintenance

6.1 Emptying the Water Tank

When the water tank is full, the unit will automatically stop operating, and an indicator light will illuminate. To empty the tank:

1. Gently pull out the water tank from the front of the unit.
2. Carefully carry the tank to a sink or drain.
3. Pour out the collected water.
4. Rinse the tank with clean water if necessary.
5. Reinsert the empty water tank firmly into the dehumidifier until it clicks into place. The unit will resume operation.

6.2 Cleaning the Air Filter

The air filter should be cleaned regularly (every 2-4 weeks, depending on usage) to prevent dust buildup and maintain efficiency.

1. Turn off and unplug the dehumidifier.
2. Locate and remove the air filter (usually at the back or side of the unit).
3. Clean the filter using a vacuum cleaner to remove loose dust. For heavier dirt, wash the filter gently with lukewarm water and a mild detergent.
4. Allow the filter to air dry completely before reinserting it into the unit. Do not use a dryer or direct heat.

6.3 External Cleaning

Wipe the exterior of the dehumidifier with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaners, or solvents, as these can damage the surface.
