4. Setup
4.1 Unpacking and Initial Assembly
Your Fafrees F20 Mate tricycle comes partially assembled. Carefully remove all packaging materials. Refer to the included assembly guide for detailed instructions on attaching the handlebars, pedals, and any accessories. Ensure all bolts and fasteners are securely tightened before your first ride.
4.2 Battery Charging
Before first use, fully charge the battery. The battery is removable for convenient charging indoors.
- Locate the charging port on the battery.
- Connect the provided charger to the battery and then to a standard power outlet.
- The charging indicator on the charger will show the charging status.
- A full charge typically takes 6-7 hours. Do not overcharge the battery.
- Once fully charged, disconnect the charger.

5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Powering On/Off
To power on the tricycle, press and hold the power button on the LCD display. To power off, press and hold the power button again.
5.2 LCD Color Display
The high-definition LCD display provides real-time information and control over your ride:
- Speed: Current riding speed.
- Battery: Remaining battery charge level.
- Mileage: Trip distance and total odometer.
- Gear/Speed Level: Adjust between 5 levels of pedal assistance.
- Walk Assistance Mode: Provides low-speed assistance for walking alongside the tricycle.
- Cruise Control Function: Maintains a set speed without continuous throttle input.

5.3 Riding Modes and Range
The F20 Mate offers two primary riding modes:
- Pedal-Assist Mode: The motor provides assistance as you pedal. Range: Up to 110 km (68 miles) on a single charge.
- Pure Electric Mode: The motor powers the tricycle without pedaling (throttle-only). Range: Up to 75 km (46 miles) on a single charge.
Maximum speed is electronically limited to 25 KM/H (15.5 MPH) in accordance with regulations.
5.4 Braking System
The tricycle is equipped with front and rear hydraulic brakes for reliable stopping power. The two parking brake levers allow you to lock the brakes, ensuring the tricycle remains stationary when parked or loading/unloading cargo.

5.5 Folding Mechanism

6. Maintenance

6.1 Battery Care

- Store the battery in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
- Avoid fully discharging the battery frequently.
6.2 Tires
Regularly check tire pressure and inflate to the recommended PSI (indicated on the tire sidewall) to ensure optimal performance and prevent punctures. Inspect tires for wear and tear.

6.3 Brakes

6.4 Cleaning
Clean the tricycle with a damp cloth and mild detergent. Avoid high-pressure washing, especially near electrical components. Dry thoroughly after cleaning.
6.5 Suspension
