Maintenance
Cleaning
- Regularly clean the earbuds and charging case with a soft, dry, lint-free cloth.
- Remove the ear tips and clean them with water and mild soap if necessary. Ensure they are completely dry before reattaching to the earbuds.
- Gently clean the earbud grilles with a dry cotton swab to remove any debris.
- Avoid using abrasive cleaners, solvents, or harsh chemicals, as these can damage the product.
Storage
- Always store the earbuds in their charging case when not in use to protect them and keep them charged.
- Store the product in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight, extreme temperatures, and humidity.
Water and Dust Resistance
The JBL Tune Buds 2 earbuds are rated IP54, meaning they are protected against limited dust ingress and water spray from any direction. This makes them suitable for workouts and light rain. However, they are not designed for submersion in water. Do not expose them to strong jets of water or prolonged immersion.
Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your JBL Tune Buds 2, refer to the following common solutions:
- No Power: Ensure both earbuds and the charging case are fully charged. Verify that the charging cable and power source are functioning correctly.
- No Sound or Low Volume: Check the volume levels on both your connected device and the earbuds. Confirm that the earbuds are properly paired and connected to your device. Clean the ear tips and earbud grilles to ensure no obstructions.
- Pairing Issues: Make sure Bluetooth is enabled on your device. If the earbuds were previously paired, try "forgetting" or "unpairing" 'JBL Tune Buds 2' from your device's Bluetooth list, then attempt to re-pair. For persistent issues, consult the JBL Headphones App for specific earbud reset instructions.
- Poor Call Quality: Ensure the earbud microphones are clean and unobstructed. Move to an environment with less background noise for optimal call clarity.
- Earbuds Not Fitting Comfortably: Experiment with the different sizes of ear tips provided in the box (small, medium, large) to find the most secure and comfortable fit for your ears. A proper fit is crucial for sound quality and noise cancellation effectiveness.
