3. Setup and Charging
Initial Charge:
- Before first use, fully charge the jump starter.
- Connect the provided USB-C charging cable to the 'IN/OUT' port on the jump starter.
- Connect the other end of the USB-C cable to a 5V USB adapter (not included).
- The battery indicator lights on the unit will illuminate to show charging progress. All lights will be solid when fully charged.
It is recommended to fully charge the unit every 3-6 months to maintain battery health, even when not in use.

4. Operating Instructions
Jump Starting a Vehicle:
- Ensure the jump starter is at least 50% charged.
- Connect the smart jumper cable to the jump starter's EC5 port. The blue standby light on the smart cable should illuminate.
- Attach the red (+) clamp to the positive terminal of the vehicle's battery.
- Attach the black (-) clamp to the negative terminal of the vehicle's battery.
- Check the indicator light on the smart jumper cable:
- Solid Green: Connection is correct and ready to start.
- Flashing Green: Battery voltage is below 9V (fully drained). Press the 'BOOST' button on the smart cable for 3 seconds until the light turns solid green.
- Red: Incorrect connection or other error. Disconnect and re-connect the clamps correctly.
- Once the indicator is solid green, start your vehicle within 45 seconds.
- After the vehicle starts, immediately remove the jumper clamps from the car battery, then disconnect the smart cable from the jump starter.

Using as a Power Bank:
The AstroAI S8 can charge various electronic devices via its USB output ports.
- Connect your device's USB charging cable to one of the jump starter's USB output ports (USB1+USB2 5V=3.4A or IN/OUT 5V=3A).
- The jump starter will automatically begin charging your device.
Using the LED Flashlight:
The integrated LED flashlight has three modes: constant light, strobe, and SOS.
- Press and hold the power button on the jump starter for 3 seconds to turn on the flashlight.
- Press the power button again to cycle through strobe and SOS modes.
- Press and hold the power button again for 3 seconds to turn off the flashlight.
