Your bicycle is equipped with dual disc brakes for effective stopping. Apply both front and rear brakes simultaneously for balanced and controlled braking.
- The right lever controls the rear brake, and the left lever controls the front brake.
- Apply brakes gently at first, increasing pressure as needed.
- Avoid sudden, hard braking, especially with the front brake, as this can cause loss of control.
5. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and safe operation of your electric assist bicycle.
5.1 Cleaning
- Wipe the frame and components with a damp cloth. Avoid using high-pressure water jets directly on electrical components.
- Clean the chain regularly and apply appropriate chain lubricant.
5.2 Battery Care
- Charge the battery regularly, even if not in use, to maintain its health.
- Store the battery in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
- If storing for an extended period, charge the battery to about 50-70% capacity.
5.3 Tire Pressure
- Check tire pressure before each ride. The recommended pressure is usually indicated on the tire sidewall.
- Proper tire pressure improves riding efficiency and reduces the risk of punctures.
5.4 Brake Inspection
- Regularly check brake pads for wear and replace them when necessary.
- Ensure brake levers are firm and responsive. If they feel spongy, the brakes may need adjustment or bleeding.
