Controls and Indicators:

5. Setup

- Drill pilot holes at the marked positions.
- Secure the mounting bracket (if applicable) or the radio directly using the supplied screws. Ensure the radio is firmly attached.
- Route the power cable and antenna discreetly.
6. Operating Instructions
6.1 Power On/Off
Press the Power button to turn the radio on or off.
6.2 Setting Time and Date
- In standby mode, press and hold the MODE button to enter time setting mode.
- Use the TUN-/TUN+ buttons to adjust the hour, then press MODE to confirm.
- Repeat for minutes, year, month, and day.
- Press MODE again to exit time setting.
6.3 FM Radio Operation
- Press the MODE button until "FM" appears on the display.
- Automatic Tuning: Press and hold TUN-/TUN+ to automatically scan for the next available station.
- Manual Tuning: Briefly press TUN-/TUN+ to fine-tune the frequency step-by-step.
- Saving Presets: To save a station, press and hold the PRE/MEM button. Use TUN-/TUN+ to select a preset number (1-40), then press PRE/MEM again to confirm.
- Recalling Presets: Briefly press PRE/MEM to cycle through saved stations.
6.4 Bluetooth Audio Streaming

- Press the MODE button until "BT" (Bluetooth) appears on the display. The radio will enter pairing mode, indicated by a flashing Bluetooth icon.
- On your smartphone or other Bluetooth device, enable Bluetooth and search for available devices.
- Select "KITCHENRADIO Elegante" from the list of devices.
- Once paired, the Bluetooth icon on the radio's display will stop flashing. You can now stream audio from your device to the radio.
6.5 Hands-free Function
When your smartphone is connected via Bluetooth, the KITCHENRADIO Elegante can be used for hands-free calls.
- Answering a Call: When a call comes in, the radio will pause audio playback. Press the SNOOZE/Volume knob to answer the call.
- Ending a Call: Press the SNOOZE/Volume knob again to end the call.
- Making a Call: Initiate the call from your smartphone. The audio will automatically transfer to the radio once the call connects.
- Speak towards the integrated microphone (MIC) on the radio.
6.6 Alarm, Sleep, and Snooze Functions
Setting an Alarm:
- Press and hold the ALARM button.
- Use TUN-/TUN+ to set the alarm time (hour and minute), pressing ALARM to confirm each step.
- Select the alarm source (Buzzer or FM Radio) using TUN-/TUN+, then press ALARM to confirm.
- Press ALARM again to activate/deactivate the alarm. An alarm icon will appear on the display when active.
Snooze Function:
When the alarm sounds, press the SNOOZE/Volume knob to temporarily silence it. The alarm will sound again after a few minutes (default snooze time). To cancel the alarm completely, press the Power button.
Sleep Timer:
The sleep timer allows the radio to turn off automatically after a set period.
- While the radio is on, press the ALARM button repeatedly to cycle through sleep timer options (e.g., 15, 30, 60, 90 minutes, OFF).
- The selected time will appear on the display. The radio will automatically turn off after this duration.
6.7 Timer Function (Kitchen Timer)
The KITCHENRADIO Elegante features a dedicated timer for cooking or other activities.
- Press the TIMER button. The display will show the timer setting.
- Use the TUN-/TUN+ buttons to set the desired countdown time (up to 23 hours 59 minutes).
- Press the TIMER button again to start the countdown.
- When the timer reaches zero, an audible alert will sound. Press any button to stop the alert.
6.8 LED Work Light

Press the LIGHT button to turn the integrated LED work light on or off. This light is useful for illuminating your workspace or as a night light.
6.9 Volume Adjustment
Rotate the SNOOZE/Volume knob to adjust the listening volume.
