Measuring for Installation

Accurate measurements are crucial for proper fit and function. Determine whether you will use an Inside Mount or Outside Mount.

Inside Mount

• Window Depth: Requires a minimum of 2 inches for proper installation.
• Blind Width: Should be the exact window width or 0-1 inch less.
• Blind Height: Should be greater than the window height.
• Note: A tiny light gap will exist on each side with an inside mount. For 100% blackout, an outside mount is recommended.

Outside Mount

• Blind Width: Should be the window width + 4 inches or more.
• Blind Height: Should be the window height + 4 inches or more.
• Example: If your window width is 31", order a 35" shade for an outside mount.

Installation

Follow these steps for a hassle-free installation:

1. Mark Bracket Positions: Using a tape measure and pencil, mark the desired locations for the mounting brackets. Ensure the positions are level and provide consistent margins.
2. Install Brackets: Drill pilot holes if necessary, then secure the brackets to the wall or window frame using the provided screws and expansion bolts.
3. Attach Roller Shade: Align the roller shade with the installed brackets. Push the shade firmly into the brackets until you hear a "click," indicating it is securely in place. The quick-release hinges allow for easy attachment and removal.
4. Attach Handle: Slide the handle onto the bottom rail of the shade.

Operation

Your Joydeco roller shades feature a free-stop cordless system for smooth and precise control.

• To Lower the Shade: Gently pull the bottom rail or handle downwards to the desired position. The shade will stop automatically when released.
• To Raise the Shade: Gently push the bottom rail or handle upwards. The shade will smoothly retract and stop when released.
• The robust spring-loaded mechanism ensures the shade stays precisely where you want it.

Maintenance

Proper care will extend the life and appearance of your roller shades.

• Cleaning: Use a soft cloth or a feather duster to gently remove dust from the fabric. For deeper cleaning, lightly dampen a cloth with mild soap and water, then gently wipe the fabric. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
• Spot Cleaning: For small stains, use a soft cloth with a small amount of mild detergent and water. Blot the stained area gently, then wipe with a clean, damp cloth. Allow to air dry completely.
• Aluminum Cover: Wipe the aluminum valance with a soft, dry cloth to keep it clean and prevent dust accumulation.
