6. Maintenance

6.1 Cleaning the Sensors

Periodically inspect and clean the outdoor sensor, especially the rain funnel and wind cups, to ensure accurate readings. Remove any debris, leaves, or dirt that may accumulate. Use a soft, damp cloth for cleaning; avoid abrasive materials or harsh chemicals.

6.2 Battery Replacement

The console will provide a low battery warning when the batteries need replacement. Replace all batteries with new ones of the same type to ensure continuous operation. For the outdoor sensor, ensure the solar panel is clean to maximize its charging efficiency.

7. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your Raddy MN6 Weather Station, refer to the following common problems and solutions:

  • No Data Displayed / Sensor Not Connecting: Ensure the outdoor sensor is within the 100m transmission range and has fresh batteries. Check for any physical obstructions between the sensor and the console. Re-pair the sensor with the console if necessary (refer to the manual for pairing instructions).
  • Inaccurate Readings: Verify that the outdoor sensor is installed in an open area, away from heat sources, reflective surfaces, or obstructions that could affect wind, rain, or temperature readings. Ensure the rain funnel is clear of debris.
  • Wi-Fi Connectivity Issues: Confirm your Wi-Fi network is 2.4GHz (the device may not support 5GHz networks). Ensure the console is within range of your Wi-Fi router. If setup was difficult, try resetting the Wi-Fi configuration on the console and following the steps carefully, or consult the online resources provided by Raddy.
  • Short Battery Life (on AA batteries): If using AA batteries for the console, note that the screen automatically enters power-saving mode, and the backlight only illuminates for 8 seconds when a button is pressed. For continuous backlight, use the power adapter.
  • Data Update Delay: It typically takes about 15-20 minutes for the device to display stable and accurate data after initial setup or power-on. This is normal as the sensors calibrate.

For further assistance, please consult the full instruction manual or contact Raddy customer support.
